Resident Evil 7: Details on Beginning Hour Demo
Capcom confirmed some new details this week on the upcoming demo for Resident Evil 7, which is Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour. You can also check out a new trailer for the game from the Tokyo Game Show in the player below. The demo is currently available exclusively to PlayStation Plus subscribers for its first seven days of release in North America for the PlayStation 4.
The demo has already reached over three million downloads worldwide. The demo is going to receive a new update soon that allows players to explore more of the derelict mansion. This Twilight version will be available starting September 15 for PlayStation 4 users.
Resident Evil 7 will be available as both a standard and deluxe versions on PlayStation 4. The deluxe edition previously available for pre-order in North America for $79.99. This includes the main game and a season pass containing access to two additional playable story episodes which will be launching after the title’s release on January 24, 2016. Additionally, the deluxe edition has been upgrade to include another playable story episode that brings the total pieces of DLC content to three and the price will now be $89.99 starting tomorrow (Sept. 15). Players who previously pre-ordered the digital deluxe edition in North America on the PlayStation Store will automatically be upgraded to the new deluxe edition at no additional charge.
All gamers who pre-order Resident Evil 7 will also receive the Survival Pack, which has the consumable healing items, an early unlock of the insanely difficult Madhouse mode, and a mysterious Lucky Coin in-game defense item. In addition, North American pre-orders for the PS4 version on the PlayStation Store will instantly receive a dynamic theme for PS4. More pre-order details for the upcoming Microsoft and Steam digital released will be revealed later on.
Resident Evil 7 arrives for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC in Europe and North America on January 24, 2017.
