Ray Palmer To Lead The Legends of Tomorrow?
Whether you liked it or hated it (there was a swing of reaction amongst fans), the Arrow finale planted the seeds to a LOT of storylines for the future of not just the Arrowverse, but the connecting shows as well. Not the least was the (SPOILER COMING AHEAD!!!)…”death” of Ray Palmer.
Yes, we know he’s not dead, not even close, mainly because we KNOW (via trailer and announcements) that’ll he’ll a part of the DC team up show Legends of Tomorrow.
That all being said, you have to wonder what Ray’s role on the team will be. He’s one of the least experienced members of the group in terms of using their “gifts”, and his hyper personality is something you have to get used to. So…what will he be?
Well, Brandon Routh himself talked to ComicBook.com to explain how he sees Atom’s role in the Legends of Tomorrow team.
“I think Ray will tend to be a little more of a leader of the team, having been a businessman and running Palmertech, being a billionaire, he knows how to bring people together and have them work as a team… he may have more to learn from the rest of them as far as [being a superhero] is concerned. But as far as bringing disparate people, very different people, together, Ray will be the one to really help gel them together as a team.”
That’s interesting, and enlightening, cause outside of the trailer, we know we can’t expect Arrow or Flash to be the leaders, or at least not all the time, and for Ray to step up is huge, and not unexpected given who he is both in show and in the comics. I personally can’t wait to see this all play out.
