PS Vita Software Will Be Region-Free
According to a high-ranking executive within Sony, the PlayStation Vita will NOT be region-locked!

According to the Twitter feed of Sony Worldwide Studios President, Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that the software for Sony’s newest handheld will not contain any region locking.
A Twitter user asked Yoshida if it had been confirmed that the device would be region-free and Yoshida replied with short and simple, “Yes it is” although it is not clear whether that will be through physical or digital media, or whether even both may be.
Right now, physical PlayStation 3 software is region-free however, digital content is restricted to the region of a player’s PlayStation Network profile.
The PlayStation Vita will be released December 17th, 2011 in Japan and in early 2012 in North America and Europe.
