Prey for the Gods Meets Funding Goal, Coming To Consoles
Prey for the Gods, an action-survival game from No Matter Studios, has met its Kickstarter funding goal. The target of $300,000 has been reached with 10 days of the campaign left to run, meaning that players will get the chance to hunt giant monsters in an experience that has been likened to Shadow of the Colossus.
Fortunately, the huge demand for the game has led to the developers testing it on home consoles such as the PlayStation4 and Xbox One so that ports can eventually be made. While Prey for the Gods will initially only launch on PC, it will definitely be coming to both consoles at some point in the future. Backers who want to get their hands on these versions of the game can reserve a copy by pledging $25 or more.
“We were surprised and incredibly excited by the results,” said the developer. “Within days, we had them playable and running @30 FPS, un-optimized!”
“Committing to a Kickstarter is no easy task. It’s a roller coaster of emotions and your private messages, comments, and feedback kept us going … Thank you all so much.”
