Prey for the Devil is the Lion’s Gate Halloween presentation this coming October 28, 2022. The trailer looks so frightening that even a non-believer will pray. Because of the religious themes, fans of the Conjuring universe might enjoy this presentation. Director Daniel Stamm is no rookie in horror because his previous projects are The Last Exorcism and some episodes of The Walking Dead, and Scream, the TV series.

The world is facing a demonic possession crisis because the increase is like a pandemic. There is an increase in the number of people whose bodies are captured by something devilish.
A priest is using the lord’s help to defeat evil spirits who torture human beings. The Catholic church opens demonic exorcism schools to train Men of God to stop evil from taking over the bodies of innocent people. These men free victims of demonic possession through their faith in God.
Sister Ann (Jacqueline Byers) grew up with a traumatizing childhood. Her mother got demonic possession, which changed her behaviour. People assumed her mother was insane and abusive, but Sister Ann knew her mother had become prey to the devil. She got the call from God and decided to become a nun. Fortunately, it was her faith that protected her throughout the years.
Nuns are forbidden from performing the exorcism, but Father Quinn (Colin Salmon), so Sister Ann’s potential to be a great exorcist.
Sister Ann will perform an exorcism on a possessed little girl. It is personal to her because it is not just any ordinary demon. It is the demon who possessed her mother during her childhood. She must face a demon that made her childhood miserable. Sister Ann will have to get courage from her devotion to God so that she won’t end up prey for the devil.
