Portrait Of A Murder Comes To Dead By Daylight Today
The asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead By Daylight is introducing some new thrills and chills with Portrait Of A Murder, the update that launches today. This update is the first in a while to add both a new Survivor and a new Killer at the same time, plus a new map.
The new Killer has one of the darker backstories DBD has spun: Carmina Mora, also known as the Artist, once used her paintings to call awareness to local corruption, until the ones doing the corrupting found out and sent men to have her mutilated and dumped in the graveyard. Instead of dying, she was saved by a murder of crows who became her allies. She was also discovered by the Entity around this time and recruited by him into an existence of endless vengeance. The Artist now trusts crows far more than people and will slay any humans in her sight.
We’re gonna need an ally with serious skills to deal with her. Enter Jonah Vasquez, CIA agent and the latest Survivor. Jonah has been seeing the same numbers everywhere, and his investigation led him down to being trapped in the Entity’s Realm. The new map, The Forsaken Boneyard, is the location of Carmina’s near-murder and the place she haunts now. Playing as Jonah (or anyone else), can you avoid the grasp of The Artist?
Dead By Daylight is available now for consoles and PC via Steam, but it won’t be exclusive there for long…an Epic Games Store version is due out in two days, December 2. It will have this update too.
