Pixar’s New Inside Out Trailer is an Emotional Mind Romp
Walt Disney Studios and Pixar have released the latest trailer for the upcoming CG animated feature Inside Out. The new trailer for the heartwarming comedy is available in the player below.
Inside Out definitely looks like it will be Pixar out to rekindle some of its old magic. In recent years, Walt Disney Animation has seemingly caught up with Pixar. For the last two years, Walt Disney Animation took home the Oscar for best animated feature with Frozen and Big Hero 6. This film will be Pixar’s chance to come back in a big way after not having a theatrical feature in 2014.
The film comes from Academy Award winning filmmaker Pete Docter, the director of Up and Monsters, Inc., and Ronaldo Del Carmen in his feature directorial debut. The story follows the emotions of young Riley, who is dealing with her family uprooting her from Midwestern life after her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Riley’s emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith) help guide her through life in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind. Unfortunately, Riley’s emotions struggle to adjust to a new life, causing turmoil to ensue at HQ. Soon, the emotions come into conflict on how to best navigate a new city, home and school.
Inside Out opens in theaters on June 19.
