S.O.L. Search of Light Coming To Consoles And PC
Discover S.O.L. Search of Light, a new tower defense game by Trigger the Monster, launching on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC this spring. In real life, when you get in a bad situation, people say you’re S.O.L. But according to a new video game announced for consoles and PC this spring, S.O.L. stands for “Search of Light.” The game was developed by Trigger the Monster (love this studio name) and published by Firenut Games. The protagonist of this tower defense game, a nameless figure known only as The Foreigner, is certainly S.O.L. (traditional definition) as hordes of enemies are attacking the base he needs to defend. His tower is also located deep underground, so he’s S.O.L. (game definition) as he needs light to see what he’s doing. The Foreigner’s resources include an army of robots that will obey his commands — and yours. Use them to explore the caves surrounding your base to gather resources that will fortify your defenses the next time the hordes come knocking. As you get

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, A sequel decades in the making
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is the long-awaited sequel to the Fatal Fury series. Fans of the Fatal Fury franchise waited for a sequel to Garou: Mark of the Wolves for 25 years. Fans thought there would never be a sequel because a handful of Fatal Fury and Garou characters are on the roster of King of Fighters. Here’s the thing, though: The King of Fighters is set in an alternate universe. Fatal Fury characters are from the 90s, yet they get to meet Art of Fighting characters who are from the 1970s, and Samurai Shodown characters are from the 19th century. Originally, it was a crossover of SNK games, but it doesn’t look like it anymore since multiple sequels of KOF introduced more original characters over crossovers. The new trailer introduced the first batch of characters. Main characters Rock Howard and Terry Bogard, together with returning faces like Hotaro Futaba and Tizoc. (Note: In the latest KOF games, Tizoc uses a different mask now and goes by the

F-Zero Maximum Velocity Joins Nintendo Switch Online Tomorrow
F-Zero Maximum Velocity joins Nintendo Switch Online, bringing classic high-speed racing to fans. The latest addition to Nintendo Switch Online will be F-Zero Maximum Velocity: a sequel to the SNES original. The first game was mainly built to show off the SNES’s Mode 7 background scaling capabilities, which were new for a game console. Likewise, it was also new for a handheld in 2001, and served a similar purpose. F-Zero has been one of the more dormant of Nintendo’s properties, to the annoyance of its fans. The last real title in the series was developed for the Gamecube by Sega’s Amusement Visions; an arcade version of the game, F-Zero AX, debuted at the same time and would accept Gamecube memory cards. The early 2000s were the most fruitful time in F-Zerr’s history with an arcade game, a console game, two handheld games and even an anime. Since then it’s just been silence. Well, unless you count F-Zero 99, the latest of Nintendo’s battle royale makeovers for NSO. 99 players are

Forest Hills: The Last Year Gaining Unexpected Troma Crossover
Forest Hills: The Last Year, due out this summer, is an asymmetrical survival horror game — you know the type, one player is assigned the role of a deadly monster or killer and the other players are given the task of escaping, or staying out of their way for a certain period of time. Dead By Daylight is the most famous example of this. The creators of Forest Hills, the Canadian studio Undaunted Games, have announced a rather unusual development for their title: they’ve entered a partnership with Troma. Yes, that Troma, the Schlock Kings, the makers of the trashiest films imaginable (and they’re proud of it). They’ve gained approval from Lloyd Kaufman himself to stick some of the Troma characters into this game. “Toxie and I could not be more excited to be partnering with Undaunted Games as they expand the fan-favorite Last Year universe with Forest Hill: The Last Year,” Kaufman said in a statement (“Toxie” refers to The Toxic Avenger, who will appear in the game). “Undaunted

Solving Cases for Yourself: The flexible evidence system lets

IDW Announces Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 40th Anniversary Comics Celebration
Ack! The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been around for forty years?? It’s true — if you go back to the VERY beginning. The whole thing started in 1984 as an independent comic book launched by creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. At the time, it was a half-parody of trends in the comics business: teenagers, mutants and ninjas were all popular, as was Frank Miller’s run in Daredevil, which introduced ninjas called the Hand and a sensei called Stick. So the Turtles fought ninjas called the Foot and had a sensei called Splinter (get it?) It went beyond just a joke and became its own thing — and then some. TMNT has taken many forms across a lot of media, but it’s managed to endure in its original comic book form since the beginning. Now IDW, the current holders of the license, are about to celebrate four decades of Turtles litrerature with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 40th Anniversary Comics Celebration. This huge volume will contain work by Jim
Square Thinks They Can Get The FF7 Trilogy Done By 2027
As I’ve been progressing through FF7 Rebirth these past few weeks, one thing has become clear: a ton of work went into it. The game contains way more content than I’ll probably ever see or complete. It took four years to get this to us, so does that mean we can expect the third and final part of the FF7 trilogy in another four? Series director Tetsuya Nomura thinks it can actually be done in three. This bit of information comes from the new behind-the-scenes book Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Ultimania. The book isn’t out yet but Twitter user aitaikimochi has obtained an advance copy. Nomura said that, at the time of the interview, the story outline for Part 3 had been locked down and they were about to start recording voices. He revealed the development time for FF7 Rebirth was actually three years, not four, but that extra year was spent creating DLC content (which we guess will be revealed soon). So he figures the third and final chapter
