Level 16 Comes To VOD March 1
Dark Sky Films is distributing the upcoming thriller Level 16 this March. Thematically, think The Handmaid’s Tale mixed with “Joss Whedon’s criminally under-appreciated Dollhouse by way of Argento employing a desaturated palette” (Dark Sky’s words). Level 16 is an underground boarding school in a dystopian society where women are indoctrinated as subservient. But teenage student Vivien cannot be broken and searches for a way out of the facility. She finds an unlikely ally in Sophia, a girl she once called her friend before she became a frenemy. Their one goal: Escape Level 16! There WILL be a theatrical screening run! A Look At The New Transformers Figures From Bluefin
Bluefin is one of the major distributors of collectible figures in this country, and today they’ve announced two new Transformers figures, created by Flame Toys, that will be available in the second quarter of this year. First off is the Star Saber Kuro Kara Kuri figure…and if you’re trying to remember where you saw him in Gen 1, you didn’t. This Autobot is an invention of the long-running IDW Transformers comic book series. At eight inches tall, Star Saber is fully articulated and comes with several accessories including a detachable face mask, two interchangeable heads and weapons, a large sword and a shield, and a pair of small buster cannons that can be combined into a larger weapon. Flame Toys has also created the Bumble Bee Furai model kit, for those of you who prefer getting your hands dirty. Fresh off his new motion picture (this is not the model from the film), Bumblebee will measure five inches tall when fully assembled and will boast over 50 points of articulation.
Iceman: The Time Traveler Cometh
Cine Asia, distributors of kung fu flicks, presents Iceman: The Time Traveler, coming soon to VOD and DVD. He Ying, a general in the Ming Dynasty, has been frozen by his enemies and trapped in time for 400 years. When he awakens in present-day China, he learns of the tragic fate that befell the village he was protecting when he failed to protect it. Now he’s gotta get back! Back to the past! Iceman Ying! Iceman: The Time Traveler stars action legend Donnie Ying, who appeared in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story as well as something called the Ip Man Trilogy. He plays the main character alongside Wang Baoqiang (Detective Chinatown 2, Kung Fu Killer) and Simon Yam (Ip Man, Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life). Iceman: The Time Traveler travels to America on January 21; you’ll be able to find it on VOD platforms. A DVD version of the movie is also on the way this April. (Note: this is the European trailer for the movie) Frozen in
Watch The First Trailer For Spider-Man: Far From Home
So…how many of you thought the Thanos Snap would be a permanent thing? Most of the media-savvy types who seek out sites like this were probably never fooled. The existence of the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer may come as a shock to your sheltered great aunt with the porcelain elephant collection, however. Marvel and Disney have been pretty diligent at maintaining the illusion, previewing none of their upcoming movies at cons, and running nothing except the prequel Captain Marvel between Infinity War and next May. Sony, meanwhile, is not beholden to such rules, and they’re like “screw it, here’s the Tom Holland Spider-Man alive and swinging.” We’ve known the title of the sequel for some time, but at last we know what it means: Peter Parker is taking a trip to Europe. He thinks he won’t be doing any crimefighting so far from his own turf, but Nick Fury — who shows up in his hostel bedroom out of nowhere — has other plans for him. Hydro-Man is on

Coffee Crisis Review
The beauty of the Nintendo Switch is that there are all kinds of games out there, including a plethora of Indie Games that would honestly take far too long to name them. A recent one that I got to play though was a title called Coffee Crisis. It harkened back to the side-scroller beat’em ups that the gaming world use to love and play for hours on end. Sadly, Coffee Crisis didn’t live up to that in my book. To be fair, not everything was bad in the game, it’s just that like many games that dare to be nostalgic yet innovate, it came across as rather random and tedious at times. I still don’t understand parts of the story, and the gameplay is very confusing in terms of the decisions that were made to make it “fresh”. In short, the game focuses on a race of aliens that come and find Earth. They somehow embed themselves in our wi-fi and create a “fake internet” and then…yeah I was lost
Driving While Black Comes To VOD February 1
Artists Rights Distribution Inc. will be bringing Paul Sapiano’s dark comedy Driving While Black to on-demand platforms this February. Racist cops are a longstanding problem that has gotten significant attention in recent years thanks to the invention of bodycams. We’ve seen news stories of African-Americans being harassed by police while just doing ordinary things like paying for groceries, calling their mother in a hotel lobby, or just standing there doing nothing. If a large part of American society can’t look at a cop and feel safe, that means the entire judicial system is broken. While there are no simple solutions, things can’t continue the way they are. Writer Dominique Purdy satirizes his experiences living in LA and dealing with a racially profiling police force in Driving While Black (he also stars as the lead actor). Dmitri is a pizza guy who would rather smoke weed and suffer for his art, but his mom and his girl won’t stop nagging him to get a real job. When he’s offered a gig
The Most HYPE Moments From Awesome Games Done Quick 2019
Awesome Games Done Quick 2019 was one for the record books, in every sense of the phrase. Not only was the old total for donations shattered, but some of the speedruns were the best ever. Since it would literally take a week to watch them all, we’ve gathered our personal favorites below. A new meme caught fire among the crowd during the event: every time a spherical object appeared onscreen, everyone in the room shouted “ORB!” as loudly as they could. So when you keep hearing a strange noise from the audience, that’s what that’s about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ek1aa3vWsws These “race” playthroughs can be hit and miss, but the Team Relay Race of Mega Man Xes 1 through 3 gets nail-bitingly close at times. You won’t truly know who wins until the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DayNOf9PkQ0 No checkered wall can stop Dr. Fatbody as he tears through the original Sonic the Hedgehog, utilizing glitch after glitch to beat each zone in seconds. He’s so quick that the end sign doesn’t have time to load
Dataminers Discover SNES Listings In Nintendo Switch Online
If you’ve been impatiently drumming your fingers on the desk, waiting for Nintendo to support something other than the NES in their Nintendo Switch Online service, we have excellent news: the wait may not be much longer. Data miner and modder KappucinoHeck did some poking in the NSO code and discovered a placeholder list of SNES games, which he proceeded to tweet: Super Mario Kart Super Soccer Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past Demon’s Crest Yoshi’s Island Stunt Race FX Kirby’s Dream Course Pop’n Twinbee Star Fox Contra 3 Kirby Super Star Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts Kirby’s Dream Land 3 Super Metroid Super Mario World Pilotwings F-ZERO Star Fox 2 Super Punch-Out!! The Legend of the Mystical Ninja Super Mario All-Stars Breath of Fire 2 Poking further, modder SnowmealDome found evidence of four proprietary Nintendo emulators being used. The content of his tweet read thusly: Kachikachi (NES Classic) Canoe (SNES Classic) Hiyoko (???) Count (???) The first two are well-known due to their use in the NES Classic and
The Harrowing Movie Review
Do demons walk among us? Are they committing heinous acts against humanity at the behest of a devious psychiatric hospital director? Can an undercover officer do what it takes to reveal their dastardly plot? All these are questions that viewers of Writer/Director Jon Keeyes’ suspenseful horror film, The Harrowing will walk away with answers to, should they dare to endure their own harrowing experience on VOD or DVD. I must admit, The Harrowing as a title didn’t give me a whole lot to work with going into this review, but maybe that is to the film’s benefit. The plot relies heavily on twists and turns to keep the audience engaged in a story where reality unravels as the run time progresses. The question then becomes, is the film as clever as it thinks it is? Let’s explore. The Harrowing starts well enough in establishing characters you’d expect in your standard police drama. The first familiar face is Michael Ironside as the grizzled veteran, Sgt. Logan. Ironside has been popping up
I’m Just Ken finally has a full official Music Video

The Barbie Movie is achieving more victories due to its unique marketing and incredibly production and controversial writing. Among its dazzling achievements is the sensational hit, “I’m Just Ken.” Before the film even hit theaters, 1.55 minute teaser of “I’m Just Ken” was unveiled. It got viral and birthed so many memes. The I’m Just Ken official music video showcases behind-the-scenes moments and scenes from the I’m Just Ken number from the movie. It skillfully merges the song’s appealing melody with dynamic visuals, excluding any spoken lines. “I’m Just Ken” is more than a catchy melody and touching lyrics. The music video reveals that Ryan Gosling, who is better known for his acting prowess, singing talent, and dancing abilities, has an additional hidden skill: he can play the drums. This surprising revelation shows he is a Jack-of-all-trades. The creation of “I’m Just Ken” traces back to a lighthearted spark ignited by Mark Ronson. Director Greta
Sword of Convallaria Announced For PC And Mobile
XD Games have announced a new tactical fantasy RPG is coming from their studio: Sword of Convallaria. The game is being developed for both mobile and PC gamers, two markets that typically don’t blend. On the ancient continent of Rodinia exists the humble and peaceful town of Convallaria — or perhaps not so peaceful anymore, as the country it belongs to — Iria — is currently embroiled in conflict. You are leader of the Sword of Convallaria Mercenary Group, whose main goal is to diffuse tensions and restore peace to Iria. This won’t be easy (if it was there would be no game) — it requires forging equipment, researching technology, and forming alliances with various factions in Iria. Be careful to ally with the right people! Lei Guo, lead developer of Sword of Convallaria, says the game was inspired by his love for oldschool turn-based RPGs and retro-style pixel art. The game so far features 300 maps and 1,000 stages with multiple endings for players to unlock, based on the
