This Is The Last Shazam Trailer….We Think
Warner Bros has released what they claim will be the last trailer for Shazam. We’ve got another month to go, and it’s Warenr Bros we’re dealing with, so I’m skeptical of that claim. Don’t be surprised if another trailer pops up between April 4 and now, but for the time being, here’s the “final” one… The character with the lightning-bolt chest, played in adult form by Zachary Levi, is actually Billy Batson, a small boy who has the ability to turn into Shazam. He’s still Billy inside, and if you were a kid who could turn into a grown-up — a superhero no less — what would you do first? Billy does what we all would’ve done…..the thumbnail displayed below is from a scene where he confidently walks into a mini-mart and orders “your best beer, please.” We like what we see in this trailer; a lot of well-worn superhero tropes get skewered on this kid’s path to superheroics. He attempts to leap a tall building in a single bound
Finally, A Real Game of Thrones Trailer
It’s not a production still. It’s not a one-second glimpse. It has nothing to do with the Bud Knight. It took until….ONE MONTH from its actual release date, but we at last have an honest-to-goodness Game of Thrones trailer containing real scenes from the final season. And what a scene it opens with: Arya running in a panic through the catacombs of Winterfell, scared out of her mind. We’re talking about the epitome of toughness here. What could have possibly gotten HER so rattled? We think we have an idea….winter is here, war is coming, and the virtually unstoppable White Walkers are at their door. How do you kill the undead, especially when they have their own undead DRAGON? The final season of Game of Thrones promises to be huge, with each of the six episodes running at least 90 minutes long. Rumor has it the Battle of Winterfell is actually the longest war sequence ever put to film. They’re certainly determined to go out with a bang, and they
Combat Secrets From Deep Silver’s Outward
Outward is now in development — a strategy RPG from publisher Deep Silver and developer Nine Dots. It’s being advertised as a punishing, uncompromising game, and to succeed you’d better know how to survive. Nine Dots is providing instruction in this task through their Developer’s Diaries, which provide pre-release hints on the game. The third of these videos focuses on combat. This snip of gameplay footage, with commentary, divulges the secrets to beating most foes on the field, even those significantly stronger than your character. Debilitating traps, vicious poison and fierce magic should all be core elements of your fighting strategy, but you won’t be able to do that from the get go. You will need to travel far and wide to unlock skills and magic that will help you in your quest. Once you have that, keep in mind you still need to be careful, analyze your enemy’s weaknesses and plan your steps accordingly. Having a plan B also doesn’t hurt. Look for Outward to land on Playtation 4,
Gwent To Receive Crimson Curse Expansion
Gwent, the card game that sprung out of The Witcher into its own series, is about to get an expansion, CD Projekt Red announced today. Crimson Curse is the name of a new DLC pack that will introduce vampires, and everything that has to do with them, into the game. The star of Crimson Curse is vampire Dettlaff van der Eretein, first introduced in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Blood and Wine. He’s summoned his loyal minions to the battlefield, and you’ll be fighting against them or with them (depending on your preference). Over 100 cards will be added to Gwent in this expansion, across all playable factions. Crimson Curse adds the Poison and Bleeding attacks, the Shield and Vitality defense moves, and the Deathblow and Berserk gameplay mechanics. Each card will come in both standard and animated variants, with the moving version being premium. Watch for Crimson Curse to invade Gwent on March 28, 2019. The expansion will be available for all versions of Gwent, on Playstation 4,
Chamber Works Orchestrates Nier Automata
Materia Collective is known for publishing rearrangements of retro-era video game soundtracks…it’s rare that we hear about anything less than five years old, but that’s what’s going on with their new Nier Automata album. The composer doing the arranging, Sean Schafianski, has in the past worked with games like Secret of Evermore, Final fantasy Mystic Quest and Breath of Fire III. Now he’s covering a game you can actually still purchase in a store, but Nier Automata is one of the most likely candidates from our modern age to be regarded as a classic, so…why not? 01. Emil’s Shop 02. Vague Hope – Cold Rain 03. Pascal 04. Copied City 05. Mourning 06. Alien Manifestation 07. The Sound of the End “Each of these themes are arranged to suit chamber ensembles such as one would see in concert settings,” explains arranger Sean Schafianski. “Much of the inspiration for these arrangements comes from my experience with 20th Century music, minimalism and post minimalism–subjects that I studied deeply during my university days.
New Devil May Cry 5 Trailer Goes Behind The Cutscenes
We’ve got four days until Dante and his crew return in Devil May Cry 5. Capcom’s latest promotional trailer isn’t quite what you’d expect….it’s a behind the scenes look at the real-life reference videos the game makers create for the cutscenes. Given how over-the-top and outrageous these cutscenes can be, it’s kind of unbelievable that they are created in real life first. It’s difficult, but as you can see, with cardboard models, foam props and a lot of perspective trickery, it can be done! The things you can get paid to do in this world…. This trailer actually isn’t the only place you can see the live-action reference cutscenes. They’re included as part of the Deluxe Edition of Devil May Cry 5, which also includes four alternate devil breaker weapons for Nero, motorcycle weapon variant for Dante, alternate style rank and title screen announcers, and classic battle theme music options. But the ability to switch visuals to actual people swinging around plastic swords is the real attraction here. If that’s
The Dark Phoenix Is Reborn: New Trailer
The Dark Phoenix Saga is the most iconic X-Men story of them all. It’s technically already been made into a movie, but….no one talks about that in polite company. Can 20th Century Fox get it right the second time, or will it take Disney to do the events justice? We’re about to find out. Over the weekend Fox released the latest trailer for The Dark Phoenix. Jean Grey is already one of the known universe’s most powerful telepaths, but does she have untapped potential that could make her even stronger? There’s a presence inside her she’s been struggling to keep down — which calls itself the Phoenix — and it’s taking over. To save the world, the X-Men may be forced to fight one of their own (don’t worry about killing her, Scott, she dies all the time). At one point in the trailer we see the mutants lined up in a van, restrained with glowing shackles, which probably means the government uses the Phoenix as an excuse to contain
There Could Be A Sandlot TV Series
What made The Sandlot so great was that, even with the over-the-top shenanigans of dealing with an allegedly dangerous dog, the movie was a very relatable portrayal of childhood. Anyone can identify with the kids in the film and pick out at least one of them as the kid they used to be. A lot of movies at the time used “Hollywood Kids” that quipped out one-liners and acted like posers. The Sandlot kids looked and talked like actual kids. Every now and then you hear about a revival or a reboot of this movie….not a sequel, because technically a sequel was already MADE back in the heyday of cheap direct-to-video follow-ups. (If you’ve never seen or heard of it, don’t worry, it’s not worth remembering.) But no one has ever proposed an entire TV series before…until now. During a guest appearance on the baseball-themed podcast The Rain Delay, David Mickey Evans blurted out that “The Sandlot: The Series” had already been sold and cleared for at least two seasons
Chobobo-Themed Sweepstakes Coming To Dippin’ Dots
Of all the places you expect to see Chocobos, the least likely would seem to be a mall food kiosk…but here we are. Square Enix is teaming up with Dippin’ Dots for a special Chocobo’s Dungeon Sweepstakes, with fabulous prizes up for grabs. Why? Because there’s a new Chocobo game imminent within the month — Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Everybuddy — and what better place to capture the Goofy Yellow Bird demographic than mall dessert carts? The cross-promotion will result in Chocobos plastered all over Dippin’ Dots kiosks, and that’s just the beginning. The Dippin’ Dots/Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon Everybuddy Sweepstakes will run from March 1 through March 31. Three grand-prize winners will be sent a new Nintendo Switch, a copy of the new Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon game, a lunchbox with Chocobo characters on it, and free Dippin’ Dots home delivery. Ten runner-up winners will get the Everybuddy game and Dippin’ Dots delivery, but no Switch. No purchase is necessary to enter…just head to http://www.dippindots.com/chocobo to put your name in the running.
Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far Returns To Retail March 15
We would imagine Square Enix is pleased with the stratospheric sales of Kingdom Hearts 3, released late January. There was one complication, however, they hadn’t accounted for: the existence of the third game ended up driving demand so high for the rest of the series, the compliation became impossible to find. Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far is a repackage of the two releases KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX and KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 FINAL CHAPTER PROLOGUE. The all-in-one Story So Far replaced them both, and was originally released last October. A whopping nine games were included within: KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX KINGDOM HEARTS FINAL MIX KINGDOM HEARTS Re:Chain of Memories KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days (HD Remastered cinematics) KINGDOM HEARTS II FINAL MIX KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep Final MIX KINGDOM HEARTS Re:coded (HD Remastered cinematics) KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 FINAL CHAPTER PROLOGUE KINGDOM HEARTS Dream Drop Distance HD KINGDOM HEARTS 0.2 Birth by Sleep –A fragmentary passage– KINGDOM HEARTS χ Back Cover (movie) While the events of these

80’s Icon, Diane Franklin on Waking Nightmare, Better Off Dead, Bill and Ted – Interview
Diane Franklin is an actor with many notable films and television projects to her name over several decades of entertaining on screen. She’s appeared alongside Keanu Reeves, John Cusack and many more since she got her start in the late 70’s. Popgeeks had a chance to sit down with this effervescent actress, Diane Franklin, to discuss her latest role in Waking Nightmare and look back on her career. Adam Pope: I’m very excited to talk about your latest performance in Waking Nightmare, because this is this truly disturbing experience. It feels like the writer/director, Brian Farmer has purposely tried to make it hard for the audience to get our bearings, keeping everything off-kilter. So what kind of script were you handed initially when asked to be a part of this film, Waking Nightmare, and what made you decide to take the role? Diane Franklin on Waking Nightmare: That is such a good question. So first of all, I get the script and I love it. I really loved it. This,
