“Forecasting Love and Weather” is a Korean drama series, released in 2022, has 16 episodes, and is categorized as a Romance and Comedy, (Rom-Com). It’s streaming on Netflix and dubbed in English. Viewers who enjoyed watching Park Min-Young (“Marry My Husband” 2024) and Song Kang (“My Demon” 2023) will likely be happy to see them as a couple in this K-drama. No surprise it was on Collider’s list of “Best K-Dramas Featuring Workplace Romances”. ♦ Two Losers and Two Winners In “Forecasting Love and Weather”, Jin Ha-Kyung is already successful in her professional life. She is the Director of Team A at the Korea Meteorological Administration, headquarters office. Now if she has a successful marriage, her life will be perfect. She and her fiancé, Han Ki-Jun, are making wedding plans but his future mother-in-law, Jin Ha-Kyung’s mother, already has complaints that make her suspicious of him. What is the future mother-in-law’s complaint? Her complaint is that … HE NEVER COMPLAINS!! For that reason, she is extremely suspicious. She says when
Does Anyone Want More Heroes?
Yikes, Heroes creator Tim Kring is back and he’s once again trying to restart the once-popular series that burned bright and flamed out just as quickly in the 2000s. Deadline reports that he’s now currently shopping a proposed revival (the second, for those keeping score) to prospective buyers. When the show premiered on NBC in 2006 it started as a more grounded take on X-Men, about ordinary people around the world discovering they have latent superpowers, seemingly awakened by an eclipse. The eclipse was referenced in the logo, repeated throughout the series and, like a lot of things about it, never fully explained. Kring was likely waiting for the recent real-life eclipse to make this announcement. The proposed revival is called “Heroes Eclipsed.” Heroes started out pretty great, with a fascinating cast of characters including a cheerleader with super-healing powers that make her immortal, a quirky Japanese man who can blink his way through time and space, and a supervillain that grows more powerful the longer it takes for the
Missing You: He Killed Them, He Killed Them Not!
“Missing You” is a Korean drama movie, released in 2016, categorized as Crime, Mystery, Thriller, and Suspense. ♦ He Killed Them, He Killed Them Not! In “Missing You”, a young girl named Nam Hee Joo, who is 7 years old, slowly backs out of a courtroom. She is in shock. A man named Kim Ki Bum was tried as a serial killer of several victims. But he was only convicted for one murder; the murder of his cheating girlfriend. For that crime, the police and prosecution were able to present sufficient evidence to get a conviction. However, because there was insufficient evidence to connect him to the other murders, he was only given a sentence of 15 years. Yes, the families of the murdered victims were visibly upset at such a light sentence. Only 15 years? For all of those brutal murders? One of the victims was a homicide detective, Nam Hee Joo’s father. He was a single parent and the night he died he was happy to get off
Kingdom Hearts Goes Emo In New Cover Album
The suggestion of an “emo” take on the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack started as a complete joke. Game music label GameGrooves posted the “announcement” on April Fools Day three years ago, but…there’s an apparent demand for such a thing, and they felt like really making it, so….here it is. If you don’t like it, you only have yourself to blame. The full title is XIII Cheers for Sweet Revenge: Kingdom Hearts Goes Emo (long and convoluted, like a KH title should be). Everything is rendered in the angsty style of a My Chemical Romance album, including “Dearly Beloved” from Kingdom Hearts II, “Hikari” and “Simple and Clean” from the original Kingdom Hearts, “Face my Fears” from the most recent third game, and many others. “What started as an April Fool’s Day joke three years ago has culminated in one of my favorite GameGrooves albums to date,” says GameGrooves producer Allen Brasch. “Given the genre, we decided to open the album to both Disney songs as well as Kingdom Hearts tracks. The
Night in Paradise: Jeju Island is Paradise Unless …
“Night in Paradise” is a Korean drama movie, released in 2020, categorized as a neo-noir crime film, and the setting is Jeju Island, a place viewed by many (tourists and natives) as paradise in South Korea. It’s streaming on Netflix and dubbed in English. ♦ Gangsters Sure Do Know How to Turn Paradise into HELL!! In “Night in Paradise”, Tae-Gu is a typical gangster. What is a typical gangster? A typical gangster is a person who chooses to live a violent life of crime, knowing full well the kind of people he associates with and that they have no heart. Yet they foolishly believe their sins won’t adversely impact the innocent people who have the misfortune of being associated with them by bloodline. Tae-Gu is loyal and won’t change sides to work for another crime family. The head of the crime family he refused to work for – so he was told – killed his sister and his niece. He got revenge by killing the head of the crime family.

Joker: Folie à Deux, A twisted love story
“Joker: Folie à Deux” drops its first trailer, with Joaquin Phoenix reprising his award-winning supervillain role. Lady Gaga will be playing Dr. Harleen Quinzel, aka Harley Quinn. Given Gaga’s New York roots, I expected her to have a Brooklyn accent, but she didn’t. Don’t expect her to sound like Arleen Sorkin, Tara Strong, or Margot Robbie’s version. Perhaps the accent isn’t present yet because she hasn’t fully transitioned into Harley; she’s still the psychiatric doctor. Zazie Beetz who is Joker’s love interest Sophie Dumond in the first film will also return. Are we going to have a love triangle? The first film finally gave Joaquin Phoenix his flowers because it won him Best Actor at the Oscars and other Award Winning bodies. It is hard to top the first movie so they decided to try something new with this sequel. It is going to be a musical. What the World Needs Now Is Love by Jackie DeShannon was featured in the trailer. It is probably one of the songs to be sung
Joseon Survival: This K-Drama Almost Did Not Survive
“Joseon Survival” was released in 2019, has 16 episodes, is based on a webtoon titled “Back to You”, and was on its way to being an awesome time travel, romance, comedy, action and adventure, historical, fantasy Korean drama series. And then … real life happened! ♦ Why ‘Joseon Survival’ Almost Did Not Survive Have you ever been into a K-drama series, eager to watch one episode after another and then … it’s like the K-drama dropped off the face of the earth! You’re freaking out! Like … What? What? What happened?? You can’t find it streaming anywhere! That’s what happened to me with “Joseon Survival”. This is also why I won’t watch Korean dramas that get uploaded to YouTube unless I know for sure that ALL of the episodes are available. I found “Joseon Survival” accidentally while browsing YouTube videos one night. The first episode had me hooked. I was happily halfway through the series when … the real life that happened was: Kang Ji-Hwan, who played the main character,
GameChops Releases Phoenix Down: Piano Lullabies from Final Fantasy
In the latest FF-branded release, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you can sit Cloud down at pianos located around the world of Gaia and play whatever melody you want (provided you master the controls first). Special prizes are awarded if you collect the sheet music of familiar FF7 songs and play them as close to perfect as possible. You could do that, or you could buy Phoenix Down: Piano Lullabies from Final Fantasy, a new cover album released by GameChops, and have it do the work for you. This album contains over 30 piano arrangements of iconic themes from across the Final Fantasy series, performed by the sibling team of Super Piano 64 — brothers Nate and Cannon Evans. “Our vision for this project was to craft relaxing, reserved, sleepy piano pieces from choice tracks across Final Fantasy history,” they say. “It was challenging to pick and choose from all the incredible works of this brilliant franchise, but we’re very pleased with the final result. We hope this project brings you
AntonBlast Blasts Onto Switch November 12
Nintendo’s Indie World showcase streamed early this morning, and the games shown off were heavily on the cozy and cutesy side….with one wild, noisy exception. ANTONBLAST is finally here. We’ve been waiting for this game ever since its Kickstarter campaign happened years ago. Dynamite Anton is an irate man with a very bushy beard who “had his spirit collection stolen by the devil” (I’m just reporting what they told me). The point is that it makes him angry enough to charge through levels and obstacles like a bulldozer, blowing up everything in his path. You can play as Anton or his genderswapped doppleganger Dynamite Annie, but however you do it, you’ve got to retrace your steps doubly as quick once you reach the end — or the bomb you set will go off on you! AntonBlast looks super fun. And to everyone who ignorantly thinks this is a Pizza Tower ripoff…it’s not. The two games share a lot of similarities (shaky manic art style, beating levels as fast as possible)
Michael Schwartz, Creator of Armored Comic Book Interview
Explore the journey of Michael Schwartz from screenwriter to comic book creator in his debut comic book series ARMORED, launching May 2024. Michael Schwartz has a history in feature animation and screenwriting, but has now created his first comic book, ARMORED published by Clover Press. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the book will now be released to the public in May 2024. We got a chance to talk to Schwartz about the history of the project and the learning curve of bringing your first comic book to life. Adam Pope: Your new comic ARMORED is coming out in April. Can you explain the premise of the story for those who may not have heard about it yet? Michael Schwartz: It’s a story about a young orphan teen named Andy Taylor. He’s adopted by this nice couple, but they’re a little strange because two years prior their son died under very mysterious circumstances. Andy is also an interesting orphan in that his parents disappeared under mysterious circumstance and the police don’t
