Fly Punch Boom Gains Mod Support, And All Crazy Breaks Loose
In 2018 Jollypunch Games released Fly Punch Boom, an over-the-top fighting game and love letter to the craziest anime tropes in existence. You can power up way past 9000, turn into a fireball and sock your opponents so hard they crash into the moon. All that’s missing is Goku….well, he WAS missing until now. Jollypunch has added long-overdue official mod support (called “workshop support” officially) to Fly Punch Boom. Modders are going nuts, pasting in the matchups even Smash players can only dream of. In the splash screenshot above you can see Spongebob, Vegeta, Paper Mario and Shovel Knight gearing up for a battle. Who is your money on? Here is the full list of mod fighters you can currently get. So far we’ve got Jotaro Joestar, Hatsune Miku, Gengar, WarGreymon, Wario, Super Sonic, Mecha Sonic, Sans, Shantae, Rottytops, and the Hat Kid from A Hat In Time. None official, but keep it quiet. LOCAL and ONLINE Multiplayer for up to 4 people ARCADE mode, UNLOCKABLES and SECRETS for solo
Uncork’d Releases Limbo This August
Uncork’d Entertainment has announced they’ll be releasing their next horror flick, which happens to be half courtroom drama, next month….Limbo. Limbo is a dance where you bend backwards and slide under a pole, but it’s also the name of the jail our nameless character winds up in after committing several crimes including robbery, assault and the Big M. An inexperienced defense attorney has been hired to plead his case, and she doesn’t look enthused about the job. The prosecution can’t stop gloating about what a breeze today will be. The man is now wondering just how he got to Limbo because he doesn’t remember being taken there. Ready for the twist? It’s literally limbo (not the dance). He’s on trail to determine if he should go to hell or not. He probably should have noticed the horns coming out of that lawyer’s forehead. Limbo was written and directed by Mark Young. It stars James Purefoy (“Pennyworth”), Scottie Thompson (“12 Monkeys”), Richard Riehle (Transformers: Age of Extinction), Lew Temple (Once Upon

Dollars To Donuts: Now On Kickstarter
Board game designers Flatout Games are working with publisher Crafty Games to bring a scrumptious new addition to the tabletop scene: Dollars To Donuts. You and your friends are in the donut store business. To start out, you must trade in some of your Dollar Tiles for Donut Tiles to build up stock. Place your Donut Tiles strategically on the board to match up donut halves and win Victory Tokens (mismatched halves will earn more Dollar Tokens, and another chance). Victory Tokens help you serve customers and earn even more. “We first discovered Dollars to Donuts during a company summit in Washington State,” says Crafty Games. “Shawn & Molly from Flatout came down to visit us and show off their games in development. From the moment we first played this charming game, we knew we had to publish it. Here we are almost exactly 2 years later, with the game fully developed and delightfully illustrated by Dylan Mangini. We’re this close to having the game in our hands, and all we need
Renegade Announces Vampire: The Masquerade Rivals Card Game
Today Renegade Game Studios revealed a new adventure in the Vampire: The Masquerade series will be hitting soon…this one an expandable card game. Vampire: The Masquerade Rivals Expandable Card Game is for two to four players, who each control a gang of vampires out to destroy the other gangs. San Francisco will be the setting of the Core Set, with probably more sets on the way (it can’t say “expandable” for no reason, can it?) You and your friends pick between the Brujah, Malkavian, Toreador and Ventrue clans and get to work. There are several strategies your coterie can employ in the quest for domination of SanFran. According to Renegade “To win, you will need to score 13 Agenda, defeat your specific Rival by reducing their Prestige (the main resource of the game) to 0, or by sending your Rival’s last active vampire to torpor.” A Kickstarter campaign will launch for Vampire: The Masquerade Rivals Expandable Card Game in the near future. In the meantime, Renegade reminds us they have
Other Space Returns From Obscurity On DUST
Sci-fi comedy shows are back in a big way. Everyone’s looking to fill the hole left by Futurama. Star Trek: Lower Decks was just the tip of the iceberg…we currently also have Netflix’s Space Force, Adult Swim’s Final Space, and now something called Other Space, just in case there aren’t enough shows with “space” in a two-word title. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because the show originally premiered five years ago on Yahoo’s short-lived streaming service alongside the sixth season of Community. It received high praise from critics, but due to where it wound up, it fell off the map. These are not new episodes, they’re the only eight that will probably ever be, but they’re still hilarious. It is the year 2105… a young, inexperienced and highly flawed crew embarks on a routine exploratory space mission. Suddenly, their ship, the UMP Cruiser, is drawn through a portal into a different, mysterious universe. With no maps, no contact, and no way back home, Captain Stewart Lipinski, First Officer/Stewart’s-Older-Sister Karen
Steven Universe Beach-A-Palooza Launches Kickstarter Campaign
Earlier this year Cryptozoic showed off its plans for 2020 at its Toy Fair booth in New York…and yes, it was possible to hold a public gathering like this in 2020, if only for the first two months. Things have changed since then, and so have the plans for some of the products. Steven Universe Beach-A-Palooza was one of the things shown off at Toy Fair — a card battling game for two to six players, set in the world of the hit cartoon. It was going to be a retail product, but Cryptozoic now figures it’d be better to aim at a platform where the majority of consumers buy online….Kickstarter. The game is now exclusive to the campaign, so this is your only chance! It’s a party at Beach City, but some corrupted Gems want to crash. Beat them back through the power of music, Steven style! in this card-drafting game, designed by Erica Bouyouris and Andrew Wolf, you won’t have to fight with your friends over who gets

WrestleMassacre Movie Review
Schlock horror is a genre you either love to death or dismiss with disgust. The same can often be said about professional wrestling, the line is very clear between die hard marks and disdainful intellectuals. So it’s only fitting that the creative minds behind WrestleMassacre would combine the two forms of high energy entertainment as a tag team that aims to set you up for a jacknife powerbomb of pure ridiculousness. I’m someone that’s very vocal about my fandom for movies on VHS, comic books and vintage action figures, but when it comes to my other lifelong passions of Pro Wrestling and Horror, I must admit I’ve kept those to myself. Maybe it’s the longstanding stigma associated with fans of such “low brow” entertainment or maybe I feel I’m not quite as hardcore as the rest. As it stands I could probably still write a college essay on either topic with enough authority to gain a passing grade. My favorite wrestlers always had a comedic bent to them, whether it
Our First Good Glimpse At Star Trek: Lower Decks
We were complaining two weeks ago that Star Trek: Lower Decks was a month away and we still hadn’t seen a trailer for it. Looks like today was the day we got one. Star Trek: Lower Decks brings the members of Starfleet into the medium of animation for the first time since Filmation did it back in the 70s. But it doesn’t follow anyone of high rank or importance…it concerns the crew of the fleet’s LEAST important Starship, the U.S.S. Cerritos — and even then, only the folks that work in its lower decks. Ensign Mariner (played by Tawny Newsome), Ensign Boimler (played by Jack Quaid), Ensign Rutherford (voiced by Eugene Cordero) and Ensign Tendi (voiced by Noël Wells) are stuck doing the grunt work that no one else wants to degrade themselves with. The actual act of saving the day falls to the legitimate crew of the Cerritos’ bridge — Captain Carol Freeman (Dawnn Lewis), Commander Jack Ransom (Jerry O’Connell), Lieutenant Shaxs (Fred Tatasciore) and Dr. T’Ana (Gillian Vigman).
Dale North’s Astral Ascent Soundtrack Now Available
We’ve written about the compositions of Dale North before: he’s the man behind such video game soundtracks as RWBY: Arrowfell, Wizard of Legend, Wargroove 2, Dreamscaper, Sparklite, and he also wrote the theme song to Nintendo Minute back when that was a thing. The latest game to bear his music, Astral Ascent, steps out of Early Access to become a full product on Steam today, and there’s more: Dale’s soundtrack is being made available separately at the same time. “The score accentuates the majestic beauty of the game world as well as the intense boss battles with the Zodiacs.. Listeners will enjoy hearing the exploration, combat, and boss battle music heard in each of the game’s diverse areas of the astral prison know as the Garden,” says Scarlet Moon, publishers of the soundtrack. North’s work for Astral Ascent features a live orchestra and vocals by Emi Evans (NieR, Dark Souls, Star Wars Visions). Astral Ascent is a 2D platformer roguelite set in a modern fantasy world. A Webcomic Character Gets Real in W – The Two Worlds
A webcomic is not real. Or is it? “W – The Two Worlds” is a Korean drama series, released in 2016, with 17 episodes. (An alternate title is: “W: Two Worlds Apart”.) “W” is the name of a popular manhwa (webcomic) and fans absolutely love the main character, Kang Cheol. One day he met a woman from another world, who told him that he was just a character in a cartoon world. That was a shock but even more shocking was when he walked through a portal screen and entered the real world. ♦ In “W”, the webcomic, Kang Cheol, the Hero, Must Die! It’s been 10 years and Oh Sung-Moo has enjoyed being a successful and popular cartoonist. His webcomic “W” has been well received by numerous adoring fans. But he thinks that it’s time for the protagonist, Kang Cheol, to die! He drew the last scene in the webcomic where Kang Cheol lay on the ground bleeding because he had been stabbed by an unknown assailant. Oh Sung-Moo’s
