Last Days Of Lazarus Announced For PC
George Remus, writer and artist behind 2018’s critically acclaimed survival horror game Grey Dawn, is now working on another game. It’s called Last Days Of Lazarus, and though it’s not technically a sequel to Grey Dawn, it’s something very similar. The game takes place in post-Soviet Eastern Europe and focuses on a man returning to his childhood home to aid his sister, who is grieving over the death of their mother. Thing is, though, not only is the country collapsing, so seems to be reality itself. The man encounters a series of unexplainable events that make him start questioning if he truly knew his parents and what they were up to. Last Days of Lazarus is a first-person adventure with horror elements and a mystery that can only be solved by journeying to dark locations and confronting shady characters. Can you figure out the truth? Relive the post-soviet Eastern European era in a bone-chilling setup Experience an enthralling story about death, suffering, spirituality, and politics, where a disturbing plot merges
Fortnite Vs. Apple: The Ugly Affair So Far
We feel sorry for any Fortnite fan who took a hike into the mountains today with no Internet connections, and returned this evening to find the whole world topsy-turvy. Sit down and let us tell the tale, it’s been a wild last few hours. This morning, Epic Games surprised everyone by lowering the cost of V-Bucks on all versions of Fortnite, including the mobile ones. The reason they haven’t been able to do this before was the high cost of fees generated from piping all in-app purchases through Apple or Google. This was non-negotiable; if you want to do business on mobile, you’ve gotta pay the gatekeepers. And it’s still non-negotiable, but Epic finally decided it had enough and deliberately flouted the rule, offering a bypass for mobile customers to send direct payments to Epic itself. The direct payment method was two dollars less than the standard, making it a no-brainer. Basically, Epic took Apple’s rules, threw them on the ground, set them on fire and said defiantly, “So whatcha

NeuroSlicers Coming To PC In 2021
Video game studio Dream Harvest is working on NeuroSlicers, a futuristic cyberpunk RTS for the PC. Described as a narrative-driven strategy title, the finished product will pack in solo, co-op, PvP and PvPvE gameplay modes. Dream Harvest claims NeuroSlicers will be different from most RTS games in that many of the smaller tasks will be automated by the game’s AI. Units will automatically make management decisions (we expect this to be customizable to some extent), letting the player focus more on the larger battle at hand. NeuroSlicers won’t be done for a while, but you can be part of the development process and get to sample the game early as well. Just sign up for the Alpha test program…the door is open on the studio’s Discord channel until August 31. Dream Harvest promises that even in this early state, there should be plenty to do. “Even in the pre-alpha, players can experience an incredible level of customisation as they manage a swappable tech system,” says the team at DH. “This

Call Of Duty: Warzone / Modern Warfare Season 5 Heats Up
We should be getting some big info about the next Call of Duty pretty soon, but there’s plenty going on in Warzone / Modern Warfare to talk about. Season Five launched on August 5, in all versions of the game. Two new areas are now open in Warzone: you can battle in a moving freight train that runs in a loop around the area, or within Verdansk Stadium. Yup, the stadium is now open and it makes for a massive battle map, with eighteen points of interest marked by Activision on this page. The Gulag in Warzone has received an update…you can expect a greater assortment of weapons now, as the old system of one set being randomly available has been changed. Now the weapons rotate between four sets, which change on a weekly basis. In Modern Warfare, there are two new multiplayer maps to romp in: Petrov Oil Rig and Suldal Harbor, and a new Ground War map set around the Verdansk Airport. In terms of weapons, look for
Spongebob: Krusty Cook-Off Adds New Themed World
Who lives in a pineapple under your butt? Spongebob Squarepants, when you pocket your phone around. He’s the star of a new mobile game from Tilting Point and Nukebox Studios, Krusty Cook-Off — essentially a remake of their hit Food Truck Chef. Krusty Cook-Off takes the mechanics of that game and transfers them to the fry grill at the Krusty Krab. As the yellow sponge of legend, your task is to flip patties and serve orders as quickly as possible. Other Spongebob characters appear as your customers and you’ll be competing against other players of Krusty Cook-Off for the fastest time and best score. You’ll also have the ability to wander outside the Krusty Krab and explore Bikini Bottom, discovering items to jazz up your kitchen when you return. And now there’s more to see and do: Krusty Cook-Off has added a new themed area to the sea, New Kelp City. Once there, you can visit Last Chance Coffee and chat with metropolis heroes like Mermaid Man (Barnacle Boy isn’t
The Girl From Arkanya Now Live On Kickstarter
An indie studio in Peru is currently hard at work on The Girl From Arkanya, a retro-styled 16-bit adventure for consoles and PC. The crowdfunding campaign for the game launched this week and has already earned almost twice what it asked for. And when you check it out, you’ll see why. There are a lot of Zelda clones out there, but how many will give you a giant rodent that you can control? Yes, in lieu of a fairy, protagonist Marisa has Kapi, her capaybara traveling companion. The capybara is always with you and you can take control of him at any time to push heavy objects….Marisa can also pick up and throw Kapi, and there are times when she’ll need to. Rather than a fantasy world, The Girl From Arkanya picked a period of world history in a location you don’t see very often. Scroll down on the page and you can read the full backstory of the game’s world and characters. It’s quite detailed. Gorgeous retro pixel art
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Open For Digital Preorder
Why should you be interested in the upcoming tactical strategy game 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim? Because of the name on the box: Vanillaware. And if that brand doesn’t ring any bells, the words “Odin Sphere” or “Dragon’s Crown” should. The Japanese developer has gained fame for their use of lavishly painted characters and backgrounds. Vanillaware makes games that are as fun to look at as they are to play. Ovehead strategy battle games are a new genre for them (the previous two titles have been sidescrolling slashers with RPG elements). It’s dangerous to travel outside your zone of expertise sometimes, but the trail of awards 13 Sentinels has racked up in its home country seems to imply we have little to worry about. It was Future Division Winner at the 2019 Japan Game Awards, winner of the Best Scenario Award & Best Adventure Award at the 2019 Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards, and won the grand prize at the 2019 Japan Otaku Awards, among others. Beautifully rendered in Vanillaware’s signature hand-painted

Sony Presents Madame Web
Disney has managed to wrangle back each piece of the Marvel Universe the company sold off to cover its debts in the 90s…with the exception of Spider-Man. The movie rights to that character and everything relating to him solidly belong to Sony Pictures, and the only way Disney can have Spidey in Avengers movies is if they negotiate. In the meantime, Sony is free to make movies out of any Spider-Man character, no matter how obscure or unknown. And they will. The latest up to bat is Madame Web…but who’s Madame Web? Is she as radically awesome as Morbius? (Sorry.) That depends on your opinion, but she and the other characters in this film come from the J. Michael Straczynski era of the comics, in which Spider-Man’s origin was pushed from a raw science sort of incident to some kind of grand mystical cosmic plan. Part of that storyline involved the emergence of Ezekiel Sims, a wealthy old dude who had built his fortune by cheating (using his powers basically).
