Feeling the Heat? Spontaneous Human Combustion
Though archaeologists disagree on the exact date for man’s discovery of fire, the primitive allure that it evokes cannot be denied. Fire creates the background for so many social settings- a romantic candlelit dinner, ghost stories whispered around a campfire, and nighttime gatherings around a beach bonfire.
iPad Games for Cats Reviews – Game for Cats and Fun and Games for Cats
While my husband and I were hanging out with some friends, the discussion drifted towards our respective cats. They had mentioned one of their cats absolutely loving an app on their iPad and whipped it out to demonstrate. Sure enough, the cat went nuts for it. Staring intently and pouncing. Obviously, being as doofy as I am, I wanted to see what our cats did with the marvel of technology. Our two contestants are Max and Patches. Our two apps are Game for Cats and Fun and Games for Cats. There were other apps tested for the sake of being thorough, but they were terrible, so I’m not going to spend time on them. Contestant #1, Max, was eliminated for his unwillingness to participate in the competition, I assume in protest of the paralysis caused by the extreme partisanship in our government. Contestant #2, Patches, was much more willing to participate and gave both apps a thorough work out. I should preface this by mentioning that Patches was an outdoor cat

20 Minutes of Dead Space 3 Gameplay
Dead Space 3 Executive Producer Steve Papoutsis takes us on a little trip through a Necromorph filled gameplay demo. The video shows off some new enemies and dismemberment effects, and it’s pretty cool. Still have a lot of reservations about Dead Space looking more like Lost Planet than…you know, Dead Space. Check the vid out below and see for yourself. httpv://youtu.be/KuJdFRo7GsM

Funny Flea Market Finds: Episode One
For some, Love is their drug. For others, drugs are their drug. For me, it’s flea markets. They’re addictive — once you’ve experienced one, you feel the need to visit regularly or else you might miss some junk you don’t need that you wouldn’t have found otherwise. I love the discount deals on household items and the occasional rare score of a vintage geek collectible for a great price. But what I love most about flea markets is the amusement to be found in odd and unusual knock-off and/or bootleg products, particularly cheaply-made imports with their crudely designed artwork, garishly colored packaging, and “Engrish” product descriptions. There are whole websites devoted to the showcasing and collecting of these products (hereafter referred to as “KOs”). But I just photograph them for others’ amusement. First up is this knock-off toy based on Pixar’s Cars movie franchise, with its creepy, ventriloquist dummy-type bulging eyes. (Note the packaging says “Funny Car” and unintentionally so.) You have to give the designer some credit for the
Android App Review of HoverNote
Most mobile operating systems and even desktop operating systems are gradually moving away from the windowed model. Yet, constantly bobbing between applications doesn’t really fit every scenario, especially with the screen real estate of tablets. However, it’s possible to have floating apps that could sit on top whatever full screen work you’re doing, though not officially supported by Google. Thus, floating calculators, web browsers and even a video player have been cooked up, but there was no simple notepad application. Given the tablet’s rise in educational settings, and Android’s popularity with the more computer oriented, that felt like quite an omission. Not being able to take notes about an e-book without bouncing to another full screen app feels weird. However, it seems that call has been answered in the elegantly simple HoverNote by developer Mike J. Lim. Full disclosure: Mike’s a friend of mine, and yes this is not a free app. However, after seeing this application in action, I actually bought it off Google Play myself, and I liked

New Updates On Texas Chainsaw Massacre Game
Developer Gun Interactive has been working on a video game based on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the classic 1974 film that would influence horror forever. It still remains powerful after all this time and is singlehandedly responsible for introducing the chainsaw as a horror trope (although it’s incorrectly associated with Jason usually). One wonders how it would translate to a game, however. The movie’s characters are basically at the mercy of cannibal hillbillies and do very little to fight back. Gun still isn’t saying how their game works. With Halloween fast approaching, now would be a good time to release a full trailer, but they aren’t ready just yet. What they CAN show off is the theme music they’ve created. It’s titled “The Massacre” and was written by BAFTA-nominated composer Ross Tregenza. Wes Keltner, CEO, Game Design, Audio & Art Director at Gun, also contributed to the piece. Tregenza says he used a rarely utilized musical instrument called the Apprehension Engine to make the tune truly ghoulish. He says the
Deadpool 3, Blade And Other Marvel Movies Hit With Delays
It’s not always a good idea to announce a release schedule that stretches out for years. The more you promise, the harder it is to commit, and you have no real way of knowing the future. It was only a few months ago that Disney unloaded a massive Marvel Movie release plan that stretched through much of the coming decade, and now for unexplained reasons they’re revising those plans. Most of these movies weren’t due out in a while, but that “while” is now further back. The first is Blade, which moves from a planned November 3, 2023 release date to September 6, 2024 (almost a full year, yikes). Deadpool 3 had the September 6 slot, but now the Merc will return two months later on November 8, 2024. And THAT day was meant to be the premiere of Disney’s take on the Fantastic Four, but now that won’t happen until Valentine’s Day of 2025…which pushes an unannounced Marvel movie meant for Feb. 14 to November 7, 2025. That day
