Nova Empire: Space Commander To Be Given A Promotional Boost
In 2017, Chinese mobile developer GameBear first published Nova Empire: Space Commander on Android. You are cast as the commander of a space fleet, battling other players online for dominion of the galaxy while waiting in line at the supermarket or bank. A version for iOS was introduced the following year, and since then, the space strategy title has earned the equivalent of nearly 25 million US dollars.
But a game can always use more active users, and so GameBear has entered a new partnership with games publisher Tilting Point, who specializes in UA strategies. UA is a term you don’t hear often outside of the mobile development industry, but it’s short for “User Acquisition” and it refers to the act of enticing more people to try your game through special offers and campaigns.
Tilting Point’s main task will be to expand the userbase of Nova Empire: Space Commander in countries outside of China (the partnership covers all territories except GameBear’s home turf).
“We love Nova Empire; it’s an incredibly engaging game that encourages building alliances and playing together — at a time when we know social connection in games is helping many people through physical isolation,” says Samir El-Agili, president of Tilting Point. “The title has already achieved a great deal of success, and we know that with our resources, team, and technology, we can bring the game to new heights.”
“GameBear can’t wait for Tilting Point to help us bring our game to even more players across the globe to enter into the alliances and legions of Nova Empire,” adds Chen Yuan, CEO of GameBear. “Their deep expertise is of great value to us, and this partnership speaks volumes about their confidence in our game. We only hope this is just the beginning of a beautiful relationship.”
We’ll see what Tilting Point comes up with to spread awareness of Nova Empire outside of China. The game is available worldwide for iOS and Android.
