Amiibos. We love them, and we hate them! Not because they’re pointless, or that they look stupid; it’s because we can never seem to get the ones we want before they’re sold out! I personally am still looking for an Ike Amiibo. Still searching…
Ironically, with each wave of Amiibo that is released, they get harder and harder to get because fans work harder to get them pre-ordered or reserved the moment they have info on when they can reserve/pre-order them.
Next week, the Wave 4 Amiibo of the Super Smash Bros. brand will release, along with a special Silver Mario of the Super Mario brand. And needless to say, it’s already looking bleak for those who simply want to go into a store and buy them, unless you live near the Nintendo World Store.
A set of tweets from the Nintendo World Store in New York states that nearly every Wave 4 Amiibo will be available to buy in the store at launch. There are only two caveats. No.1: The Jigglypuff Amiibo will not be there because it’s releasing on June 5th. No.2: Customers can only buy one per character; no bulk buys!
So, if you’re in the New York area (or aren’t, and are willing to drive to New York to go to the store to buy the Amiibo’s), this may be your best chance to get the Wave 4 Amiibo when they release next Friday.
