New Star Trek TV Series Logo and Teaser Unveiled
Soon, fans will once again be able to boldly go where no one has gone before. Some new details were dropped by CBS this week for the upcoming, brand-new Star Trek TV series. During the CBS Upfront presentation at Carnegie Hall in New York on May 18, CBS revealed a new logo for the show along with a teaser trailer/promotional video. You can check out the new video in the player below. The show is slated to debut early next year.
According to the teaser, the show will feature “new crews, new villains, new heroes and new worlds.” There’s no actual footage in the video, but it does reveal the new logo for the show, which is simply being called Star Trek. It’s not clear what continuity or timeline the show will be set.
Star Trek is set to debut on CBS All-Access in January 2017. However, the first episode will preview on the actual CBS network. It will be interesting to see how this new show turns out, and how much CBS will support it, despite the show being a CBS All-Access exclusive. Since it’s a completely new crew with new characters, it will likely try to be as accessible as possible.
