New Roguelike Tesla Force To Be Showcased At Steam Festival
Game developer and publisher 10Tons is currently working on an interesting roguelike for PCs, Tesla Force, that will be released later this summer. The game will be demoed by the development team at Steam Summer Festival this week.
Imagine a top-down shooter where everything is randomly generated…the level layouts, the environments, the corners which the Lovecraftian horrors hide behind. Now imagine the only one who can take them out is….Lovecraft himself. Yes, he’s in the game and you make him shoot electric laser blasts, along with Marie Curie, Frankenstein writer Mary Shelley, and Nikolai Tesla, leader of this group of historical monster busters called…the Tesla Force!
By the way, 10Tons has done this before — Tesla Force is a sequel to a similar title called Tesla Vs. Lovecraft, only this time with more people. “Tesla Force is the next evolution in our top-down shooter line-up, says Olli Alatalo, lead developer for 10Tons. “This time you will be waging an endless war against ever more horrifying cosmic abominations.”
Originally, Tesla Force was due to come out about now. But as the company explains, unexpected complications have forced a delay.
“The ongoing pandemic and other events have had an effect on Valve’s schedule on Steam,” says Olli. “As the Steam Game Fest was delayed we had to move the release too in order to avoid other schedule conflicts. However, we will showcase the game on Steam Fest so mark your calendars for 18th June and meet us there online!”
