Kingdom Hearts 3 may be a finished product, but it’s not over yet….a special DLC chapter, titled Re Mind, is heading our way early next year. We still have no specified release date, but thanks to Tokyo Game Show, we did get a new trailer. It’s two minutes long and it’s in Japanese, so you’ll need to turn on YouTube subtitles to understand the dialogue (we mean from a lingual perspective, for the plot you’re on your own).
This winter, players can experience a new episode as they continue their adventure in the beloved action-RPG series, encountering new obstacles and bosses to battle. In the upcoming DLC, players travel to a familiar realm and encounter powerful new bosses. In some of the additional battles, players will be able to switch characters. Players can also obtain additional Keyblades by downloading the free update.
Speaking of having to be Re Minded of things, do any of you remember who half these people are? I had to watch a primer video to get clued into the meandering storyline prior to playing Kingdom Hearts 3 (in fact, that primer video was included on the disc, so vital it was). Most of those details have once again been dumped into the pits of forgetfulness like in “Inside Out.” I’ve already forgotten who that floating girl is in this trailer…she IS from another game, right? She wasn’t invented for this DLC? I would never know either way, and neither would any of you.
Keep watching Tokyo Game Show. We hear the odds of Square debuting a new Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer on the 12th are very high.
