New Horror Movie Will Be Focused Around….James Dean?
Wonderland Pictures and Imagination Infinite Productions have announced they’ve begun production on a new horror movie, the subject of which we can say..”yup, we doubt anyone’s done THIS before.” Samuel Gonzalez Jr. will write and direct Little Darling, a scary tale produced by Michael De Roker and Lalit Bhatnagar. The focus of this one is….1950s actor James Dean?
Dean, famous for starring in Rebel Without A Cause, died young in a car crash. Little Darling is about a junkyard worker in a small town who happens to discover the wreckage of the vehicle Dean was in that wound up being his tomb. The worker decides he’s found his new mission: to restore the car to working order! What he doesn’t know is that the car is cursed (because of course it is) and the same misfortune that befell Dean could be inherited to him.
Gonzales Jr says “I’m putting the camera deep in engine oil and blood intending to resurrect the Hollywood legend and the ‘ ‘curse of little bastard” with a grounded 90’s based horror ride straight to hell and back.” We’re not sure if this is the kind of project you need permission from Dean’s descended family to make, but if so, it ought to make for an interesting conversation with them.
Little Darling is only just now going into production and has no release date. Shooting will begin later this spring.
