New Bloodborne Music Soundtrack Video Featurette
Sony PlayStation, SCE Japan Studio and developer FromSoftware have released a new video showcasing the epic soundtrack for Bloodborne. The new video is available in the player below.
The new video shows that Bloodborne will in fact boast a fully orchestrated score; complete with a chanting chorus. The musical score sounds haunting, moody, creepy, Gothic and full of dread, similar to the actual game. The full video actually shows a recording session for the game’s score at Lyndhurst Hall at AIR Studios. The track from the game’s soundtrack featured in the video is titled “Cleric Beast,” composed by Tsukasa Saitoh.
The music for the game sounds like fitting ambiance for the ancient city of Yharnam, the main setting for the game. Yharnam is now infected by madness, with phantoms, beasts and monsters roaming all about. The city looks like it has become hell on earth. Saitoh’s score seems to reflect that atmosphere very nicely. In Bloodborne, you play as a hunter roaming through a dark and horrific world, looking for dark secrets in order to survive. The music has to have a mood and tone that reflects that.
Bloodborne is due out on March 24. The game will be available exclusively for PlayStation 4.
