We just received two news items on the same day relating to Avatar: The Last Airbender and the world thereof, so we might as well combine them into one post. The first regards Avatar Generations, the mobile game that launched earlier this year.
Avatar Generations is mainly a co-op experience, but if you can believe it, the game hasn’t had a PvP (player vs player) mode until now. Developer Navigator Games has finally added it and, while they were at it, thrown in a few new elements to enjoy it with. Like the Earth Rumble Arena and Omashu, two new environments that support the PvP mode.
And while you’re attacking people, you might as well do it as King Bumi, the newest character. From the Earth Kingdom, he’s a fitting match for the Battle Arena, and he didn’t come alone: other new characters include Flopsie, Captain Boqin, and that guy who screams “MY CABBAGES.”
To wrap it up Navigator has also added a new campaign, new boss battle stages, new Player Missions and “a couple of surprises, one of which will have a very sharp appearance.”
The second bit of Aang-y news is that Avatar Legends, the tabletop roleplaying game that was introduced last year, is no longer shacked to physical tabletops and has gained support from the online roleplaying service Role. You can now play the game with your friends wherever they happen to be.
“In [an] official partnership with Magpie Games, we’re please to present the complete Avatar experience for all players, game masters, and storytellers on Role,” the company said in a statement. “Across any device, both online and in-person, you can now enjoy Avatar in the smoothest, easiest, most immersive way possible. Gather your friends from across the four nations, and set off for adventure.” Role is supported both on the web and on mobile devices.
Avatar Generations is free to download on iOS and Android. Avatar Legends is available now where RPG books are sold.
