Netflix Releases Cobra Kai Season 3 Trailer
After two years, a climactic battle, and a change of streaming platforms, Cobra Kai is once again open for business. The former YouTube Red (remember that? No? It’s OK) original launches its third season on its new home, Netflix, next month.
Contrary to what a currently running commercial would have you believe, Kreese has, in fact, NOT turned Cobra Kai into Koala Kai. Not only has he made the dojo more vicious than ever, he’s brought in real cobras! Johnny wants him gone and control of Cobra Kai back, but he can’t do it alone. That means, for the first time, he’s gonna have to team up with…gulp…Daniel LaRusso of LaRusso Motors.
This time, it’s personal. The last season ended with Miguel, Johnny’s first pupil, plummeting down a flight of stairs and breaking his body in several places. The good news is that, according to the trailer, Miguel not only survives but gets back to fighting shape in no time. The bad news is, it’s doubtful these kids won’t just raise their fists again and get somebody else hurt.
As for the hint that Ali might be appearing this season, your guess is as good as ours. Elisabeth Shue does not make an appearance in this trailer. Kumiko and Choze from Karate Kid Part II DO appear, however, and throw down with Daniel. …Still no sign of Hilary Swank yet.
Season 3 of Cobra Kai lands on Netflix January 8. A fourth season is already in production,
