Mutant: Year Zero Mechatron Expansion Up For Preorder
Mankind has departed Earth and left control of the planet to robots, who perform their programmed tasks to repair the planet. Sounds like Wall-E, but we’re really talking about the new expansion to Mutant: Year Zero, the awardwinning tabletop RPG from Free League Publishing. Seems after a few decades, these robots gain sentience and start to question just what it is they’re doing. You and your buddies will take on the roles of some of these robots and decide what happens from there.
Mutant: Year Zero is about to be expanded with Mechatron, a new rulebook that introduces a new city, a new campaign, collectible robot parts and components, and more. It’s the second expansion to be released for Mutant, following Mutant: Genlab Alpha.
MECHATRON INCLUDES:
● ROBOTS – New rules for creating and playing robots. Build your robot part by part with chassis parts, modules, programs and secondary functions.
● MECHATRON-7 – A detailed description of Mechatron-7, a huge underground robot city, including a full-color map.
● GHOST IN THE MACHINE – The complete Ghost in the Machine campaign, placing the player characters in the middle of a growing conflict that threatens to tear the robot collective apart.
● ADAPT TO THE ZONE – Guidelines and rules for how the robots can adapt to life in the Zone, the unknown world outside of the Mechatron-7.
Mechatron is actually fleshed out enough that it functions as a standalone RPG without the need of the core game. But whichever way you decide to play, the Mechatron Expansion will be out in early June. You can preorder it by visiting this page.
