Mortal Kombat X Getting Pro League Via ESL
Mortal Kombat X is easily going to be one of April’s big games, if not the biggest. It’s slow build-up of the roster, mixed with gameplay trailers revealing just how brutal this game is going to be, have rallied fans once again. More than likely guaranteeing big sales in its first week.
Now, to add to the fun, the Electronics Sports League has announced that they will be creating a Mortal Kombat X Pro League, for gamers to duke it out in the game and get prize money.
The preseason qualifiying cups actually take place on April 19th, which is a mere five days after Mortal Kombat X comes out. So if you’re interested, be sure to sign up!
The league itself will start on May 3rd, with weekly prizes estimated at $1000. There will be 8 cups up for grabs during the season. The territories will include the US, Europe, and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
When the finals are held, it’ll be in Burbank, CA, with the grand prize being “at least $50,000”. It’s important to note that the tournaments in the US and Europe will be using the Xbox One version of Mortal Kombat X, while the CIS will be using the PC version.
So, if this is for you, get ready to test your skills and…FIGHT!
