Mixtape, Do you remember when you download songs from Napster?
Mixtape will give you nostalgia of the decade of the 2000’s. This film makes me feel old because a film set in 2000 is now considered a period movie. Now I know how my uncle feels when he said 70s felt recent to him. People from the 1960s thought the Y2k is the year people will be using flying cars. Instead it is the year where we pirate songs in napster and limewire. Downloading and sharing songs was illegal back then but everyone with internet does it.
I remember back then there is a single mom who got arrested for downloading songs online. Now we can listen to songs for free legally thanks to Youtube Music and Spotify. You don’t need to buy songs anymore to support the music charts placement of a singer. Services like Spotify makes music completely free as long as you have internet and you can endure the ads.
