Miss Marvel first trailer! MCU’s first Muslim Superhero
Miss Marvel is finally going to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kamala Khan(Iman Vellani) is your average teenage girl from New Jersey. She is a fan of Superheroes and the biggest fangirl of Captain Marvel. Dorky as it may sound, she loves writing fan-fiction about her favorite Superheroes. One day this ordinary fangirl will discover that he is not an ordinary human. Like her idol, Carol Danvers, she possesses her own Super Powers. Marvel made changes with her origin story compared to her comic version and changed her powers, but she is still that Nerdy Muslim girl from New Jersey who becomes a Superhero like her idol. In the Comics, she got her powers because she is Inhuman, but Marvel wanted to distance itself from Perlmutter. He is the former Marvel CEO who was hated by the fans because he tried to replace Mutants with Inhumans out of pettiness against Fox. Now Miss Marvel’s powers are similar to Carol Danvers to make them more adjacent from each other. Her powers are more similar to Mr Fantastic and Ant-man in the Comics, but Marvel decided to change direction for the live-action.
Miss Marvel first trailer:
Kamala is the typical Superhero Geek who always imagines herself in her favorite heroes’ shoes. Teachers always scold her for not focusing on her studies, and the popular girls are mean to her because she is too geeky. She always loves to imagine herself to be a Superhero as an escape. Then at home, she has to deal with strict parents and a religious brother. Cosplaying and Writing fanfictions gives her an escape. One day her fantasies will come true because she will have Super Powers. Her powers can be comparable to the Image projection of the Green Lantern Corps from DC comics and Stand Users from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures. She will call herself Miss Marvel to honor her idol, Carol Danvers. Miss Marvel will stretch her way to your screens this June 8 at Disney Plus.

Why did they changed her Powers? Now she looks like a copy of Green lantern. Embigenning was more interesting than what they gave her.

Finally, we will have a TV show about a Muslim person who is not a negative stereotype nor a caricature. Also, she has her character beyond her background.

There are angry fans who don’t like the changes in her powers. I will still watch it with an open mind, I hope it wont end up some preachy woke show. They should make it at least like Stargirl and have diversity minus the politics.

Mr. Fantastic is debuting in MCU’s Fantastic 4 and Disney don’t want a comparison and that leads to the power changes.

Those Antiwoke channels on YouTube are attacking this show already just because the protagonist is not a straight white male. They are the same people who said Shang Chi and Captain Marvel will flop but were all proven wrong.

Nope, but She and the actress playing Kamala will star in a movie together. This Disney Plus Original is Kamala’s story, so it’s her place to shine because she will be a supporting character in the film.

They couldn’t even wait to come out with the attacks. Some of them have no business dictating how entertainment should be. Disgusting, even at 98 and two steps from hell they will still try to drag everything along with them. After the failed Shang Chi judgment you think they would learn something but some things never change.

@Master They will also claim that they are not racist and sexist, but they keep complaining about diversity and wokeness.

I totally OK with “representation”. Don’t get me wrong. But here’s a fact. The character, Superman, was created by Jewish guys. Superman’s creators, writer Jerry Siegel and illustrator Joe Shuster, were Jewish, Superman is not Jewish. He’s American! He emigrated to the USA from another planet. And he did not go through the Immigration & Naturalization Service. His adopted earth parents must have dummied up papers for him. Nobody ever says anything about superheroes being Jewish or not being Jewish! Because superheroes are not really about religion. Just sayin’.

Kamala is not really a Pandering character though. All of her creators are Muslim American women who designed her after their experience growing up
