As reported earlier, Warner Bros. Interactive and Monolith Productions announced the details for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor’s final DLC release The Bright Lord, which launches today. The Bright Lord DLC is a new story mission expansion pack with new story content and allows players to finally take the role of Celebrimbor, the elf who forged the Rings of Power. In addition, Warner Bros. Interactive has provided The Paranoid Gamer with a new trailer for The Bright Lord DLC, available below. Monolith looks ready to cap off Shadow of Mordor with a bang.
The Bright Lord DLC is set during the Second Age of The Lord of the Rings lore. Players assume the role of Elven Lord Celebrimbor and will face the Dark Lord himself, Sauron. This puts the storyline back thousands of years before the events of Shadow of Mordor.
The expansion pack features a lot of new bells and whistles. Besides the new story content where players can take the role of Celebrimbor, the DLC includes a new Celebrimbor skin players can use for th emain campaign. In addition, the story content will allow players to utilize the One Ring of Power to face Suaron in what Monolith claims is an “epic boss fight.” Hopefully, it will be a bigger fight than the one from the end of the main campaign. Based on the footage, that definitely seems to be the case. Sauron’s forces will feature higher level enemies. Warchiefs will be up to level 25 and will have new abilities. Luckily, besides wielding the One Ring, Celebrimbor will also have a new rapid fire bow weapon.
The Bright Lord DLC is available for Season Pass holders or for individual purchase for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Besides the trailer, you can also behold a new screenshot from the DLC below.
