Megaquarium Heads To Consoles October 18
If you’ve never heard of Megaquarium, it’s the name of an aquatic theme park. A theme park that actually doesn’t exist, but that you will build and manage. Until now it’s been exclusively a PC experience, but you’ll be able to host your own Megaquarium on Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and XBox One before long.
In this economic simulation, you’re in charge of a new aquarium, that you built, filled with nearly 100 different sea creatures including fish, sharks, crustaceans, corals, jellyfish, other invertebrates, and turtles. You also have a staff to keep running, customers to keep happy and a large building to maintain. Manage to keep all these balls juggled in the air, and you could make a ton of cash (in-game, anyway).
There are several ways to play this sim. The campaign mode consists of ten levels that take you through the process of designing and running the park (good for those just beginning the game). The sandbox mode lets you grow your aquarium indefinitely (with customizable settings depending on the rules you want). Finally, the random challenge generator keeps the experience from ever getting predictable.
Become a Megaquarium franchisee October 18 when the game launches on Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and XBox One.
Originally released on Steam, Megaquarium features a campaign mode with 10 levels in which you will learn how to design and manage an aquarium. Additionally, the game contains a sandbox mode with customisable settings and a random challenge generator. Every decision you make in Megaquarium –your choice of animals, filters, tanks, staff and layout– has consequences. You’ll have to master both creativity and economics to make your business succeed and keep your guests happy.
