Male Pink Ranger Finally Exists in Super Sentai! is Power Rangers next?
Male Pink Ranger is something that I never thought will exist in my 30 years of watching Super Sentai and Power Rangers. Green and Blue use to be male exclusive but throughout the years, female versions of those colors had existed. The Color Pink in Tokusatsu has always been associated with girls. There are some men who did wear the Pink costume but only for one episode or that character died in a flashback. I thought Pink Rangers will always be female until the sun goes supernova.
However, we now live in an Era where there are men who are confident to wear pink. Wearing Pink will not make you less of a man. Men who wears Pink is starting to be normalized. It is just a color and it will not make you less of a man.
Now We have Kiji Brother, The very first full time live action Male Pink Ranger
Things finally changed because in the 46th Super Sentai Series Avataro Sentai Donbrothers, A Male Pink Ranger Finally exists. DonBrothers’ theme is based from the characters tale of Momotaro. It is a Folk legend that has always been important to the Japanese culture. I am not sure if this ongoing Season will eventually be translated into Power Rangers. The Season is an enjoyable watch based from the episodes I had seen by far.
A Male Pink Ranger does exist in Power Rangers but he is only for the comics. His name is Daniel O’Holloran, He was the previous Pink Ranger that uses the pterodactyl power before Kimberly Ann Hart back in 1969. A live action male Pink Ranger don’t exist in Power Rangers yet but we might get there is Male Pink Rangers gets normalized in Super Sentai.
The Japanese culture association of Avataro Sentai DonBrothers is too strong. There are Super Sentai Seasons that were not turned into Power Rangers because they are “Too Japanese.”
