Fans of horror film cliches and macabre humor in general should find a lot to like about Machiavillain, the management strategy game that casts you as the overlord of an evil mansion.
As is the custom, foolish teenagers have a tendency to wander into the woods and stay at mansions like yours. You’ll have deadly traps and obedient minions at your disposal to make sure your guests have a ghoulish time. But remember, you must abide by the rules of cinema: “target victims when they’re alone, keep the virgin alive until the end, and never, EVER hurt the dog!”
There are threats to your own existence as well: other monsters don’t particularly care for you, and monster hunters would like your head stuffed and mounted. The new Electrocution Powers update should help you fend them off.
MachiaVillain’s new update adds electric fields to your hellish homestead that can be used to power new tools and abilities. Set up alarms, jam mobile phones to keep victims from calling for help, and wield the Finger of Evil to zap enemies or give a boost to your minions.
Michiavillain is available for PC, Mac and Linux, and it’s currently on Steam for a discounted price of $9.99 (it’s normally $19.99).
