Liev Schreiber Would’ve Loved To Be Sabertooth Again
Say what you will about the X-Men films, and there’s a lot to say about the X-Men films, but it’s hard to deny that even in the worst of the films there were good aspects. The worst film is universally acknowledged to be X-Men Origins: Wolverine. But even in that film, there were some good aspects to it. Mainly, the relationship between Wolverine and Sabertooth, this time around played by Liev Schreiber. Though panned, Schreiber loved the role, and if he had been given the chance to reprise the role in Logan, he would’ve done it. Though he admits how difficult it would’ve been, and the film he admits turned out great without him:
“It was very difficult given ‘Ray Donovan’s’ schedule, and I think they went a different direction as well with story,” Schreiber said to Variety. “I think it’s a terrific movie. I’m just very proud of Hugh and the way that he handled himself with that franchise and that character. It was a great experience to be involved with one of them and to get to work with them. I had mixed emotions when I heard that he was going to retire.”
Would you have liked to see him be Sabertooth one last time?
