Leviathan: The Cargo Lands On Steam Early Access
Leviathan: The Cargo, an action adventure game based on a setting from the developers’ previous game, Leviathan: the Last Day of the Decade, has landed on Steam Early Access. It is not just a sequel, but it is a completely new story of deep human fears, passions, redemption and happiness. Describing Leviathan: The Cargo, developers Lostwood have said:
“What if world-changing stories always begin from nothing? For example, from a gang of smugglers carrying a valuable cargo through the underground tunnels of an ancient city… A sealed box with something meaningful, something that can change the fate of an entire country and its people.”
The game is set to have a number of features once it’s released, such as:
- Original setting, a somber and mystic fantasy world, filled with alien technologies and arcane mysteries of noble families.
- Your decisions are important: the characters listen to every word you say, and careless actions can lead to severe consequences or… to new side stories
- Gameplay as experience: features of adventure, shooter, RPG, visual novel and survival genres merge together to provide you with a unique and unforgettable experience
- Unique style: dark, grotesque comicbook-style visuals, flashy camera angles and enthralling dialogues.
- 18+: The Cargo is a mature game for mature people.
- And you’ll be able to meet some of the characters from Leviathan: the Last Day of the Decade.
Talking about the game, Lostwood have added the reasons why they’ve brought the game to Steam Early Access, saying:
“We want to take this path, because we see a lot of advantages of following an episodic scheme. However we don’t want to mislead our gamers: Leviathan: The Cargo is just on its way to becoming a complete game and it will stay in early access state until it’s completely finished.
“We also plan to make Leviathan: The Cargo a really big game. In addition to regular main storyline updates we plan to release a bunch of side stories that shed more light on the events of the main storyline, and additional atmospheric dungeons and locations that you will be able to explore.”
