Legacy Of The Void Release Date Given, Special Editions Detailed
The final chapter of the Starcraft II saga, Legacy of the Void, has finally gotten its release date via an announcement at the Starcraft World Championship Series. The game will arrive on PC and Mac November 10th.
This final installment is a Protoss-focused final chapter based in the StarCraft II series is now available for pre-purchase on Battle.net, which just so happens to be Blizzard’s online gaming client. It will cost $40 for the standard edition.
Those who pre-purchase the game digitally will gain access to the Whispers of Oblivion prologue missions. Don’t worry though, if you’re looking for something a little more in the collector’s side of things, Blizzard has you covered. Aside from the standard edition, Legacy of the Void will have a Digital Deluxe Edition and a Collector’s Edition. Details below:
Standard Edition – $40
•Digital Deluxe Edition – $60 – The upgradeable digital deluxe edition includes bonus in-game content for Blizzard’s other games: an Archon pet in World of Warcraft; a Void Speeder mount in Heroes of the Storm; a protoss-themed card back in Hearthstone. This content will be available upon Legacy of the Void’s launch.
•Collector’s Edition – $80 – The retail-exclusive collector’s edition comes with the aforementioned digital goods, as well as a full-color, hardcover StarCraft Field Manual; a cinematics and special features DVD; and the soundtrack on CD.
