Created by Hideo Kojima in 1987, Metal Gear has had a major impact on the game industry for decades. With numerous titles released on almost every major platform in existence, the series has always remained strong and continues to churn out titles for major platforms with the most recent being Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
The Metal Gear series is best known for its action oriented stealth gameplay. In every game you are the agent known as Solid Snake, and it’s your mission to sneak into enemy territory and eliminate the threats that reside in them. The franchise has a history of high difficulty and unnerving missions challenging you to stay undetected for the benefit of your survival.
Besides the tense and thrilling gameplay is a rich world with a suspenseful storyline that has captured the hearts of millions of players. The plot for each game generally serves as an illustration of our ever growing military industrial complex, and the potential danger of technological strides in warfare.
Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will be released in North America and South America this June on the PlayStation 3.
