Kingdom Hearts 3 ReMind DLC Arrives This January
Kingdom Hearts 3 was released nearly a year ago, but its story isn’t over yet. Sora and his animated buddies are returning one more time in the ReMind DLC chapter, which arrives early next year.
Exactly WHEN early next year depends on which console you played the original on. Playstation 4 is getting ReMind first, on January 23, 2020. XBox One gets it a month later on February 25. The DLC is not sold separately and will require the original game.
What do you get: Aerith! Yuffie! Squall! Confirmed in the trailer, these denizens of Twilight Town were unexplainably missing from Kingdom Hearts 3 as a whole. The main game contained no Final Fantasy references, but the DLC will fix that.
Plus, you’ll receive all these other things:
- The additional story: ReMind
- Limitcut episode and 13 boss battles
- Secret episode and boss battle
- Data greeting feature
- Slideshow feature
- Premium menu
The “Premium Menu” will introduce new difficulty settings and gameplay challenges. This is likely another way of saying hard mode, though it could also be an incredibly easy mode. Or both.
Prior to the release of ReMind, a new patch will arrive for KH3 that will contain a main story update, new abilities, and a new form for Sora…plus two new Keyblades, “Oathkeeper” and “Oblivion.”
Kingdom Hearts 3 ReMind hits early next year. The main game is available now on Playstation 4 and XBox One.
