Kimi is a thriller coming to HBO Max, this February 20, 2022. It is directed by Steven Soderbergh. This film seemed to be inspired by the movie The Net. Both films are thrillers that center around the Internet with protagonists named Angela.
Kimi is a smart speaker that makes Angela Childs (Zoë Kravitz) easier. She is more than a smart speaker for her. She assists her with her daily errands and also helps her to work at home. Angela Childs is agoraphobic. Angela have fear of being outside as it makes her uncomfortable and afraid. So Pandemic is not a problem for her because she likes to stay at home. With the help of Kimi, Angela works as a Voice Stream interpreter. The Covid 19 Pandemic though made her more afraid to go outside.

One day while listening to audio streams for her job, Kimi played a disturbing audio file that seemed to be a recording of a murder. She heard the voices of a woman who is screaming with fear and she sounded distressed. Angela knows that there is something wrong and she needs to do something.
She tried to report the case crime to the authorities but no one believes her. Also to make it worst, The killer might be wiretapping her too. Her boss also told her not to let the authorities know about the file. Now she has no choice but to solve the crime herself even if she is afraid to go outside the premises of her home and there is a pandemic.
