Kenshi and Johnny Cage got revealed in the Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay trailer
Kenshi and Johnny Cage are both revealed for the Gameplay trailer of Mortal Kombat 1. Kenshi was absent in Mortal Kombat 11 and he was last playable in Mortal Kombat X. The Ninja, typically depicted as blind, breaks the mold this time by having the ability to see, yet still opts to wear a blindfold during combat.
Johnny Cage makes a comeback in this reboot, and interestingly, he appears younger. During a confrontation with Kenshi, Cage’s apartment becomes a battleground as Kenshi notices his ancestor’s sword hanging on the wall. As they engage in a fight, Cage sustains visible injuries and starts bleeding, reminiscent of the portrayal in Mortal Kombat 2011.
In the trailer, Sonya Blade, Jax Briggs, and Kano all make appearances, but it remains uncertain whether they are playable characters or merely cameo fighters. The current portrayal of Mileena in Mortal Kombat presents her as Kitana’s sister, in contrast to her previous depiction as a clone.. While Mileena mostly appears human, she suffers from a disease that transforms her into a Tarkatan, resulting in her monstrous teeth.
In contrast to past games, Kitana shows care and concern for Mileena, despite Mileena’s lack of trust, assuming her sister is after the crown that belongs to her.

Raiden is back but he is not a God of Thunder Anymore, he is now a Mortal and younger one. There is a switch of roles between him in Liu Kang. Fire God Liu Kang takes charge in recruiting champions to serve under him, with the details of the plot still kept under wraps. The Great Kung Lao wears a straw hat with no blade, so fights with a boomerang instead. He might eventually have the blade hat because there is a scene of him using it during a fatality.
Prepare for the much-anticipated release of Mortal Kombat 1, arriving on September 19, 2023.. It is available across multiple gaming platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (available on both Steam and Epic Games Store).
