Jedi: Fallen Order Is Now Out On Consoles And PC
It’s the holiday season, which as usual means a crowded release schedule. One of several desired games this month was released this weekend….Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
This game takes place between Revenge Of The Sith and A New Hope…certainly the darkest time to be a Jedi, as Palpantine issues out Order 66 and initiates the genocide of Jedi throughout the galaxy. Your character, Cal Kestis, managed to survive the purge, but for how long?
Kestis is now hiding on the planet Bracca with his droid BD-1. But as he hears about the Empire’s injustices, he feels he can’t just sit around. Kestis must risk exposure to save those who are under Stormtrooper oppression. He has his lightsaber and his Force training to rely on; plus he has BD-1, who can scan objects and act as a flashlight in dark areas.
But there’s a larger mission. Ultimately, Cal’s after something powerful that the Empire may or may not know exists. He has to find it first and keep it out of their hands. Jedi: Fallen Order is first and foremost an exploration game, something Star Wars games rarely are. Ever wanted a Metroidvania Star Wars with Tomb Raider elements? Here it is; EA took a risk for once. Support it with money and we may get more like it.
You can find Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order today on Playstation 4, XBox One, and PC via multiple merchants (Steam, Origin, Epic Games Store). If the lore is any indication, Kestis ls likely to fail on his mission, but he can’t fail without you.
