JACKASS 4: FOREVER :Johnny Knoxville introduces a new generation Jackasses
Jackass was a controversial Reality show on MTV. The premise of the show is a group of friends who tries different dangerous stunts. They also prank each other. Some of the popular alumnus of the show are Dave England, Steve-O,, Ryan Dunn,Chris Pontius, Ehren McGhehey, Preston Lacy, Jason Acuña and Johnny Knoxville. Knoxville returns with a new cast of Jackasses who are willing to injure themselves with these pranks and stunts.
Bam Margera, who is one of the originals is supposed to be on this documentary but he was fired in the middle of production.
It has a successful yet controversial run that ended because teens and kids imitate the stunts at home. So yes before there is Tide Pods challenge, there is Jackass. After the show ended its run, There had been three occasional movies to continue the legacy. The film franchise managed to have three sequels because fans still want more Jackass. The transition from tv to a film made the movie less accessible to children lessening the imitations at home incidents.
The Nostalgia factor helps the success of the movie revival of the series. It will go stale if it stayed on television so occasional movies have been a great idea for the franchise.
The Stunts became more elaborate and high budget. Occasional films will also be better for the health of the cast compared to a full tv season with multiple episodes.
Now the film franchise is on its 4th film with new faces.
