Silver Bullet Games has just released their survival game Isle Of Spirits on XBox and PC. You’ve washed ashore on a deserted — and very boxy — desert isle. Your immediate goal is to find food and shelter, but long-term, you seek to gather enough materials to build a raft and escape.
Be prepared for the worst. Nature will have it in for you with randomly occurring earthquakes, tornadoes and monsoons…and fog, which you might not immediately think is dangerous until you run right into a hungry creature’s head. If you perish, that is the end of your game…you must start a new file. Also, there is no tutorial. It wouldn’t be a true survival experience if they held your hand, would it?
Though this might all sound stressful, Silver Bullet designed Isle Of Spirits to be a chill and casual game. Dangers are introduced at a slow pace and the difficulty curve is gentle. (So if you do wind up dying, it’s your own fault.)
Discover an infinity of islands – The map is procedurally generated at each new game
Craft – Find resources and craft items and tools to survive
Build your house – Houses provide a lot of benefits you will have to discover
Farming – Cultivate food
Supernatural phenomenons – From tornado to things hidden in the darkness, the isle itself will try to kill you… or its spirits
Permadeath – Dying means starting a new adventure on a new isle
You can find Isle Of Spirits today on XBox One and PC via Steam.
