The Iron Fist TV series has another Marvel Cinematic Universe veteran to join its ranks. Marvel Entertainment recently confirmed that Carrie-Anne Moss is confirmed to join the cast for the upcoming Netflix series, returning in her role of Jeri Hogarth from the first season of Jessica Jones and the second season of Daredevil.
Jeri Hogarth will appear in the show and provide legal assistance to Danny Rand (Finn Jones) aka Iron Fist after he returns to New York. Fans will remember in the comics, that Hogarth was the lawyer for Rand and Rand Industries.
Speaking on the announcement, executive producer Jeph Loeb stated: “Carrie-Anne has fast become a fan-favorite part of our street level saga, and we share our viewers’ excitement in bringing her into ‘Marvel’s Iron Fist.’ As Marvel fans know, Hogarth in the comics plays a critical role in the life of Danny Rand so it seems only fitting that Carrie-Anne join in.”
Showrunner Scott Buck added, “Danny Rand lives in the highest stratosphere of New York’s business society and he’s going to need a ruthless lawyer to help him navigate this alien world. I’m very happy to have the opportunity to bring Carrie-Ann Moss as Jeri Hogarth into ‘Marvel’s Iron Fist.’”
Moss joins the cast opposite Finn Jones as Danny Rand, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, David Wenham as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, and Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum. In the upcoming show, Danny Rand returns to NYC after being missing for years. He fights against crime in the city with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
