Infinity Ward to participate in 24-hour gaming marathon for charity
Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward has announced plans to take part in an all-day gaming marathon next month to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Founded by Marie Osmond and her family in 1983, CMNH is one of North America’s leading children’s charities. As of 2011, the organisation has raised more than $4.3 billion dollars to support the treatment of youths suffering from common childhood afflictions like asthma and broken bones, or bigger challenges like leukaemia, cystic fibrosis or cancer.
Hosted by Extra Life, the event will take place on October 12th, beginning at 8am. More than 20 employees from IW will be punishing their thumbs in an attempt to raise $10,000 for the cause, and the studio plans to stream the entire 24-hours live from their offices.
To make an online donation, visit IW’s EL page, select a participant to sponsor and hit the big blue ‘SUPPORT ME!’ button. Alternatively, if you’d like to get involved yourself, you can click here to register.
Be a hero. Play games. Heal kids.

It makes sense that they want to help out their primary audience: Children.
