Indie Horror Flick The Headmistress Comes To DVD
After a limited theatrical run in select theaters over the past few months, the indie horror film The Headmistress has been released to DVD as of today.
This movie was shot in 2019 at a decommissioned nunnery in Oconomowoc, WI, where members of the cast and crew had to live together for nearly two weeks. The plot is that a teacher deep in debt sees a source of relief when she inherits a lakefront inn, and plans to sell the property for big bucks. But when she takes a group of interested buyers to the inn…wouldn’t you know it, the place turns out to be haunted. The spirit of The Headmistress won’t let them leave!
The Headmistress stars Katherine Bellantone, Tom Dacey Carr, Hunter O’Harrow, Thomas J. McCarthy, Ayden Skye, DeChantel Kosmatka, David Sapiro and Valerie Meachum.It was directed by Jay Sapiro and Christopher Micklos and produced by Glenn Chung. The DVD includes includes a full-length commentary track from Sapiro, Micklos and Chung where they talk about the making of the film.“Audiences have been so excited and enthusiastic about The Headmistress,” the three said in a released statement. “We are just thrilled to finally give them the opportunity to own the film themselves on DVD!”
The Headmistress is available now where most DVDs are sold.
