Hyper Sentinel Goes Physical On Switch…And On Cassette
The space shooter Hyper Sentinel will be released in physical form on Switch soon, thanks to the efforts of VGNYsoft. Just like their previous release, the game will come in both standard and limited collectors’ editions. There’s something extra this time, however.
The standard version of Hyper Sentinel is just the game card in its case for $34.99. What they call the Elite Edition will come with a 24-page booklet, a metallic-sheened cover and a certificate of authenticity…and it’s actually just five bucks more, so if you’re going to get this game, you might as well splurge. Note that VGNYsoft has no limit on the standard version, but has pledged to just make 3500 copies of the Elite Edition.
ELITE EDITION INCLUDES:
-
Physical Cartridge
-
24 Page Chronicles Booklet
-
Certificate of Authenticity
-
Premium Metallic Effect Cover
-
Individually Numbered
-
ONLY 3500 UNITS PRODUCED
-
IT WILL NEVER BE REPRINTED
But that’s not all. Hyper Sentinel is also coming to cassette. Cassette?
Remember these things? Pepperidge Farm remembers and so does VGNYsoft. They’re releasing the soundtrack of the game physically as well, but only in this format. “Not only are we releasing a retro-inspired game but we’re also releasing the soundtrack for the game…in a retro format,” they say. “The cassette is making a comeback and you can order your copy just in time for the release of Hyper Sentinel.”
The cassette soundtrack on its own costs $12, or you can bundle it with the Elite Edition for a grand total of $49.98. The choice is yours.
