Hugh Jackman Hints at Details for Final Wolverine Movie
Hugh Jackman revealed a surprise a few weeks back on his Twitter account that he would be hearing fan ideas and wishes for the upcoming Wolverine solo film that will be his last as the character. Naturally, a lot of fans took the chance to let the Wolverine know what they wanted, but what ideas possibly made it through? Speaking to the Sydney Confidential Podcast, Jackman noted that there were some popular consistent choices among fans. Chief among them was the return of an old friend/enemy, Sabretooth.
“There were a lot of calls for Victor Creed to come back,” he said, teasing the return of Sabretooth, who was foe to Jackman’s character in both X-Men and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
He also revealed that many took the time to tweet at him to not make this his final appearance as Wolverine. He added, “I must admit I was quite heartened by a number of people saying please don’t make it the last, but look, I’m really excited about this last one.” He continued. “And if you’re a comic book fan, the words ‘berserker rage’ came up a lot. If you know Wolverine, you’ll understand.”
It’ll be interesting to see if Sabretooth and the Berserker Rage truly do make it into the final film. We’ll find out on March 17th, 2017.
