Hover: Revolt of Gamers Launches Today
Fusty Game, Midgar Studio and The Sidekicks officially announced this week that Hover: Revolt of Gamers has left Early Access, and it’s now available for Windows PC, Mac and Linux. Additionally, the game has been confirmed for a console release later this fall. You can also check out a new launch trailer that was released this week in the player below.
Essentially, Hover: Revolt of Gamers is a spiritual successor to Jet Set Radio. The game focuses on parkour action, high speed racing, mega jumps, tricks and combos in a futuristic open world, without any type of violence, guns or blood. Hover is set in ECP17, Hover City, which is a high-tech city built on a distance planet. All entertainment has been banned by the Great Admin, which is a major dictatorship.
Players take the role of young rebels called Gamers, who have high-tech gears to allow them to do amazing jumps and pick up awesome speed. They can roam the city and fight against the anti-entertainment laws, sabotage propaganda, help local civilians, and end oppression.
Additionally, Fusty Game confirmed the game received a massive content update for the game to coincide with its full launch. The game also features an electro soundtrack from Jet Set Radio composer Hideki Naganuma. The full soundtrack is also available as DLC.
