Honeymoon With My Mother -It is like Turning Red but for Adults
Honeymoon With My Mother is a Spanish Comedy dedicated to the people who had been embarrassed by their parents. It is a remake of the 2006 Indie American comedy Honeymoon with Mom. The original film is about a bride who was dumped by her groom on her Wedding day. So she spent her Honeymoon Vacation with her mother instead.
The Remake amped the hilarity because It will be a Groom who will spend his Honeymoon with his mother instead. Mother and Sons have a close bond like no other, but most Sons do not want to be seen in public with their mothers. Moms treat their sons like babies even if they are grown-ass men. I am not stood up at the altar, but I can resonate with this film because of the PTSD I got from my mom during my college graduation.

José Luis (Quim Gutiérrez) had the worst day of his life. His Bride left him on the altar for another man during his nuptials. What happened to him is hard to process because of the heartbreak. To make it worst, it also hurts his ego as a man. He needed time for healing to move on from his train-wreck of a wedding. The Honeymoon for the wedding that didn’t happen is already paid for, so to make sure that vacation won’t be wasted, He will spend his Honeymoon with his mother instead. Mari Carmen(Carmen Machi) thinks her son can recover from his loss if she is around to support him during his lowest low. Unfortunately, the overprotective mother will unintentionally humiliate her son as she has the vacation of her life. José Luis and his mother will have adventures on this comedy roller coaster.
Honeymoon with my Mother will be on Netflix this April 29, 2022.

This appears to be the comedy I didn’t realize I needed. It appears to be a touching moment near the film’s end about a bonding time with his crazy mother.
Right now, I really want to watch some comedy, and I think this would help me with my despair.

I thought this is going to be an Alabama like movie because of the title. 😂😅🤣
Looks like a funny movie everyone can relate with.

I am someone who has been embarrassed by my dad in front of my friends. I can feel the cringe and the pain. A repeatably funny-looking film because all of us had been there. Despite my parents being cringy, I always love them no matter what. I know someday I will be the cringy uncool mom too.

I am actually jealous of people who are spoiled and babied by their moms as grown-ups. At least they have a loving mom. My mom is a nagging Karen from hell, and I never remember having a sweet moment with her. She has been angry all her life. I won’t be embarrassed if my mom is like that. I wish my mom is that loving.

I watched the original years ago. It was funny and I never expected it to be remade since it was only an Indie film.

His facial reactions of embarrassment alone is enough reason for me to watch. 😁

LOL at the Hotel Staff thinking they are husband and wife. I didn’t know American movies get remade in foreign soil.

Turning Red is the appropriate comparisson for this one. 😁 Some parents will forever act like their kids have not passed baby stage. They act out and embarass people in public too.
