He’s All that, Remake of of She’s All that
He’s All that is a Romantic comedy starring Tik Tok influencer, Addison Rae. This film also stars Tanner Buchanan and it will be available on Netflix this August 27, 2021. Rae’s popularity in Tik Tok made her an instant celebrity and that gives her an acting break. Addison Rae has 82 million subscribers and that gave Netflix the confidence to give her a lead role. Her role in the movie is also an influencer so it will be easier for her to resonate with her character.

Padgett Sawyer (Addison Rae) is a popular teen influencer who got cheated on by her boyfriend who is the most popular boy in school. The break-up puts got her humiliated online because her burst of emotions was streamed life online. She wanted revenge so she makes a bet with her friends that she will make the biggest loser in school the next Prom King. She seen Cameron Kweller (Tanner Buchanan) as her project to build up. He’s all that is a remake of She’s all that. It was a 90s teen rom-com starring Rachael Leigh Cook and Freddie Prinze Jr.
The remake is a gender-swapped version of the Original. She’s all that is about Zackary Siler, A popular Jock who got dumped by his narcissistic girlfriend. He will try to make the school nerd,Laney Boggs (Rachael Leigh Cook) by giving her a makeover. Back in the 90s, In romcoms, a woman that wears glasses is considered ugly, and removing the glasses gives her an instant makeover. One improvement this remake has is that the loser character is not a Nerd in glasses. Nerd culture is being mainstreamed now so being a nerd doesn’t automatically make you a loser in school.
As a Tribute to the Original, Rachel Leigh Cook will return to the remake playing a different character. The Sixpence non richer song “Kiss Me” will also be reused as the theme song of the movie.
