Hell’s Paradise Premieres April 1 On Crunchyroll
One of the most anticipated anime of the spring will premiere this Saturday, Crunchyroll announced today.
Hell’s Paradise revolves around Gabimaru, the strongest and most ruthless assassin in his village. Not everyone is a fan of him, though — in fact, as this series opens, he’s imprisoned and set to be executed. But he’s given a possible way out from his jailers: if he can find and retrieve the Elixir of Life from a mysterious island, all charges against him will be dropped. Well, fine — he’d be crazy NOT to do this. But what he finds out is that he’s not the only one heading to that island: all the other convicts from that jail were given the same offer, and they won’t hesitate to stab anyone in their way.
It’s up to Gabimaru and his handler, the executioner Yamada Asaemon Sagiri, to find a way to survive not just the island and its perils but everyone in competition with them. The show stars the Japanese voices of Chiaki Kobayashi as Gabimaru, Yumiri Hanamori as Yamada Asaemon Sagiri, Ryohei Kimura as Aza Chobe, Kensho Ono as Yamada Asaemon Toma, Rie Takahashi as Yuzuriha, Chikahiro Kobayashi as Yamada Asaemon Shion, Yusuke Kobayashi as Yamada Asaemon Tenza, Makoto Koichi as Nurugai, and others.
Crunchyroll has also released the final trailer for Hell’s Paradise, which you can watch below. Only the sub version of the series will be viewable on broadcast day; presumably a dub is in the works. You can catch it starting April 1 on Crunchyroll.
